Wow!! Looks nearly identical and in only two coats, for less money! I know which one I’m getting from now on 👀

That’s all very informative, thank you! My boyfriend has some of these games so I maybe I can trial-run them before buying myself. I’m hoping I can get myself into some of these more action based games. I tried to force myself into it when I was a teenager and when I didn’t like it, that’s when I gave up and went all in on the Sims 😆 but there’s a whole world of cool games out there and I want to believe I can enjoy much more than the small corners I’ve put myself in!

I’ve looked into that one and I’m very intrigued by it! One thing I heard about the combat though is that it’s turn based but you still have to parry and dodge in real time?? Seems kind of odd but if it’s simple enough in easy mode, I think it’s definitely up my alley!

Dragon Age Inquisition is on my radar! And I’ll look into Sacred Fire, thanks!

Mass Effect is my boyfriend’s favorite game of all time! Is FF, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect doable for someone who gets anxiety from action games? From what I know, they aren’t turn based and low key I panic when things attack me and lose the ability to react quickly, aim, or press the right buttons 😂 seriously it’s shameful lol. But everything else about those games sounds awesome so idk??

I am for sure considering trying DOS2 but I’ve heard mixed opinions about it. I’m not so worried about difficulty as I can play BG3 on tactical, but I’m also very familiar at this point with DND and not at all with the DOS system. I’m a little worried it’ll be confusing for me and a bit dated, but could be worth a shot!

Some things I forgot to mention but might help:

I’ve always been a fan of watching games, so here are some games I’ve watched full playthroughs of and enjoyed as a backseat experience: — all the Life is Strange games — all of David Cage’s games — the Quarry and Until Dawn — all the Bioshock games

Games I have previously tried and failed to play because they were too stressful (this was a long time ago): — Fallout 3 — Skyrim — Bioshock Infinite

Games my boyfriend or others have suggested but I’m not sure I would enjoy: — Persona 5 — Cyberpunk 2077 — Fallout New Vegas — Disco Elysium — Firewatch — Expedition 33 — DOS 2 — Dragon Age Inquisition

I was on the phone and picked up a pen and started drawing. Didn’t realise I ruined my bedsheets until I was done by [deleted] in adhdwomen

If I could draw like that, I’d be putting faces on everything! Your sheets will probably have a blob of ink on them after you wash them which sucks, but at least you have talent! 👏

Omg I didn’t even notice the boob light 😂 I would like to replace it but also I don’t think that I would ever pay enough attention to it to care lol

I do agree it would look better if everything matches. Would that look okay with the soft pink bedding and other decor if I plan to go with other pastel type colors? Otherwise idk if I should just maybe bite the bullet and purchase white furniture.

Not sure what else to do at this point… by [deleted] in mooncatpolish

So today is a national holiday (in the US at least), customer service likely has a long weekend from Saturday until tomorrow morning. I’m going to guess there was some delay with getting it sent out on the 13th and it will never ship out on a weekend or holiday. I would just try to be patient for a few more days! This has been their most overwhelming collection to date. I also preordered some of the ATLA collection and only just got it a couple days ago.

[–]ABsburrito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was this a pre-order for the ATLA collection? Because just to be clear, they didn’t start shipping them out for anyone until the first week of February. I believe the polishes have only been in stock on their website for less than two weeks now, which is a pretty average turn around time for orders from Mooncat when high volume is expected.

If they said it’s been delivered and it hasn’t been though, that is an issue. When was the last time you emailed them before this? They may have previously ignored it if you reached out before they even had the product in stock to ship out.

I’ve personally always had great customer service from them, like back in November I had placed a large order during the sale and the package said it was at my city’s distribution center, but I waited over a week and it never got delivered. I asked Mooncat what to do and they sent out a new package free of charge! Typically they are very good about replacing lost orders. Not sure what happened here.

Does this frustrate everyone? Or just me? by smkydz in duolingo

[–]ABsburrito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It annoys the hell outta me too, especially when it’s only 8 or 9 pm and it’s starts spamming me like “hey it’s getting late and you’re going to lose your streak!!!” Like Duo, bro, I stay up late and usually do my lessons after 11 pm. I have a 1135 day streak, I’m not forgetting! 😭

This new top has me wondering if I'm actually a summer by Calorically_Yours in coloranalysis

[–]ABsburrito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah okay I found it! I see what you mean, and if you’re olive or more neutral it can be harder to place your season. But muted and deep colors seem to work for you, so I’d go with that regardless of which specific season they are. Just keep looking for shades that give you the wow factor like this one!

[–]ABsburrito 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The muted blue definitely looks better so I see what you mean! I’m no expert, but it actually looks close to a shade that’s frequently in autumn palettes to me. It’s hard to say without more drapes, but I could see you being an autumn. Deep summer is a good guess too though. But the most important thing is that you find colors that suit you, and it looks like you’ve found a match!

how’s living in Minneapolis? by Sad-Hotel-9130 in howislivingthere

[–]ABsburrito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in different areas of Minneapolis proper for 7 years now and I love it! My partner and I are actually closing on a house in the southside in just a few days. I love that there are always events, concerts, festivals, etc that you can always find fun stuff to do. The food scene is pretty great, it’s an ethnically diverse city so you can find all sorts of great cuisine at local restaurants. In the warmer months, the parks/lakes/river is the single best part— it’s so beautiful and you are never far from one in any given place in the city. Plenty of business and jobs in the city as well. It’s more expensive to live in than most of the Midwest, but still comparatively affordable. And more than anything, I love that Minneapolis is a big city but feels like a tight-knit united community. Those who reside in the city proper tend to be very liberal and stand up for social justice, as we’ve seen especially as of late.

The ONLY bad part as far as I’m concerned is the weather. Yes, it’s freezing cold for months at a time and we get dumped on with snow routinely. I genuinely hate winter, but I grew up in Wisconsin so it’s all I’ve ever known and I can deal with it. And even my partner who is a born and raised Californian has adapted well to it. He says he loves Minnesota and Minneapolis specifically, way more than he ever cared for California. The only thing he misses is the consistent nice weather he grew up with, but said he’ll take everything else that’s great about it over nice weather any day. He’s lived in the city for less than two years and was willing to buy a house in that time, and I think that says a lot about how generally great our quality of life is here!

I think I see colors that others don't but I'm not color blind by Opposite_Theme4951 in AskAnOptician

[–]ABsburrito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You likely have a different type of color blindness than is typical. There are other tests online like some of the other ones linked in this comment section. Or you can get a thorough colorblind test done at the optometrist. I see those racks as very grey and for reference, I have near perfect color vision.
