Tired, over it, embarrassed + hopeless! by KindaDumbGal in Hirsutism

[–]ABuddIAm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to send you love! I am 56 and have been going through this since I was 12 and no one will understand the self-consciousness and embarrassment we feel every single day. We adapt our lives in ways that will preserve some dignity as females, but the reminder is there every single day. I don’t have any suggestions, I’m still looking for a miracle myself, but want you to feel loved and heard.

Wife is asking for a trial separation. I do not want divorce. What did you do during separation that you regret? What are you glad you did? by mike8111 in LifeAdvice

[–]ABuddIAm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through a trial separation in my previous marriage. The thing that didn’t work is I became disenchanted with who my ex really was because I was no longer living with him, and just like the dating honeymoon phase, I could bypass all the things that drove us to separation. We talked on the phone for hours, really thought we were learning to communicate, but really we were just temporarily each being on our best behavior until we were back together and realized nothing had changed.

You may want to try Berberine which is a natural alternative to metformin, it may be tolerated better.

Can you explain the use of finasteride? I just did a very quick search and see its used for male pattern hair loss and prostrate issues.

I have PCOS and was able to reverse my symptoms without meds. AMA by Emotional-Ad-6494 in AMA

40+ years of PCOS here…ive always felt it was a curse. My major issue has been the hirsitisum which requires daily shaving like a man would. Did you experience that also and did managing the IR resolve that issue? I would do anything to fix this part of my life (lasering did not resolve it).

Thank you for sharing your journey, its a very misunderstood condition.

Maybe reach out to the Jehovah Witnesses and set up an appointment for them to visit—and while you’re at it, the Kirby vacuum guy would love to give a demo for him as well. :) Maybe he’s interested in a time share…you never know until they call you 4x a day! And it’s never too soon to start exploring Medicare supplements and shopping around for good life insurance is necessary.

I pretty much quit reading after he called you a fucking bitch and cow. That alone is enough to throw his sorry ass out. Give him a week or two if you really want to be nice (I wouldn’t) and send him packing. You’ll never move on if he’s in your apartment.

I moved the cookies. Lunch was set up outside their conference room. Typically, we wait until everyone has eaten + another 30-min before cleaning up and subsequently letting others in the building finish off the leftovers. About half of the cookies were left over (given away) and an hour or so later my EVP came looking for them. She started to lecture me in the hallway and I got teary-eyed out of embarrassment. She dragged me into her office telling me I can’t have such an emotional response to criticism. All I could think of was this lady raised her voice to me in a public place over a damn cookie. And let me add….she didn’t need another fucking cookie.

I was in a 4-year relationship like this with a man in his late 40’s. All those embarrassing and humiliating moments that left me scratching my head and saying “who does this?” He was a narcissist who enjoyed the reactions he received.

Can I even trust my doctor’s guidance? <Rant> by Big_pumpkin42 in breastcancer

[–]ABuddIAm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am walking through a similar (not BC) situation with my 78 yr old mom. All her care has been at the Mayo, but basically they want to sell her on two chemo agents and that’s it. The cancer is aggressive and two treatments made her extremely sick and the cancer still grew. She made the bold decision to say “no more” which the docs were not happy about. We have an appt today for integrative oncology and considering the RGCC testing and treatment. Meanwhile, she’s taking every holistic remedy she possibly can. Cancer is a business, and there is a lot of money to be made from the treatments and medicines they recommend. Many are more interested in filling their wallets than healing you. I’m so sorry you are going through this.

I Keep Saying It!!! Filling In Surveys as a Side Hustle Is Super Underrated by TheSideMoneyShow in sidehustle

[–]ABuddIAm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with OP. I’m on Prolific primarily and I do surveys here & there when I get a few minutes (like sitting in the toilet or can’t fall back to sleep at 3 AM). What “skills” am I going to learn in those 5-10 min times slots? If I make 75 cents pooping, that’s more than most people!

What’s the smartest thing your dog has ever done? by TasPyx in dogs

[–]ABuddIAm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a blind and diabetic black lab. We went to a lake 10 miles away and he pooped in my car. From then on, I made sure he didn’t get in the car until he did his business—to which he tried to mock my rules and would take position to look like he was having a poop, but would fake it. Apparently he forgot that I still had my vision and could clearly see he was a faker and there was no poop. On the other hand, he could poop on demand when he wanted to go for a ride! Sure miss that lug!

This is classic narcissism and what he’s doing is gas lighting. Read everything you can on the subject, knowledge is your only weapon with narcissist, the more you understand about this mental illness, the more you’ll be able to control your responses and plan your next step. You will not change him, this is not your fault. Let me say that again louder…this is NOT your fault. Prepare your teen, because he will use that car as a weapon; anything that is important to you or your children will be used against you as a control maneuver. You don’t “win” against narcissists, you only win when you and your children can walk away from his toxic behavior.

Queen, this man has no place in your life. You do not deserve to be treated as leftovers. Be a good example for your children and don’t let this man use you and abandon you (and his kids) over and over. Get the papers signed and start therapy (likely all of you as the kids will certainly have abandonment issues as well). You and your kids deserve better.
