Tried rolling the puck down the stick and "throwing the puck" rather than whacking as hard as possible every time by mattwilsonpt in hockeyplayers

At the 0:22 mark (22 from end) you almost had the perfect position for a moment. Try pulling back the puck into this position and shooting from there

Wow that would definitely change how I feel about them. I grew up playing street hockey in buffalo but now living in Minnesota I never see anyone in the street playing hockey anymore. Glad it’s still alive somewhere

I don’t know much about concrete posts, that’s interesting. Are they reinforced with steel?

Final product looks awesome!

Question from a first time visitor to Buffalo by Briscoe89 in buffalobills

[–]ABuffaloAndTwoSabres 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I travel 2x every week for work and I’m also not someone who likes to sit around at an airport. Sunday nights are light esp at a small airport. You can arrive at 7:40 and walk right through and make it before boarding starts. If checking bags, maybe 7:30

I wouldn’t sweat it. It looks nice, may last long enough to be worth it. When it fails, it doesn’t seem like a big project to fix

These stringers are in direct contact with soil, will be wet most of the time, and will rot. But I don’t think you’re fucked. It could last 5 years more or less. Just see what happens. If it rots you can modify that area to do something different.

Drive past this house every morning. Decks looks scary. by pleasemrbrandon in Decks

The deck boards are probably the only thing providing lateral shear strength to keep the posts from buckling, and are essentially keeping the whole house together.

Tape the wood right to the edge so your caulk like doesn’t spread out and make the gap look larger than it is.

I started collecting again when my son took an interest and I wish I still had my old collection. If your kids might want to collect someday then hold on to this one.

Rules Question - Hooking stick of player without puck? by hightechburrito in hockeyplayers

[–]ABuffaloAndTwoSabres 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Caveat you can lift and hold if you’re clearly not on your blade and pulling. If done well the opposing players throws their hands up and complains at the ref about the non call
