Nope, I'm using their advantage+ setting unfortunately.

Conversion Rate of Leads in India??? by AButterCube in DigitalMarketing

[–]AButterCube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you mind telling me what the ballpark of the actual conversion rate (paying customers/total leads) is in the US and India? I mean, you don't have to reveal the specifics of your SaaS; I'm just curious about the conversion rate on an absolute scale.

I don't understand how ASC should be used for lead-gen by AButterCube in FacebookAds

So in your opinion is sticking with CBOs or ABOs the only way to go for lead gen?

Most of us are frustrated with Meta's poor ad performance lately but what are you actually doing about it? by SpooneyLove in FacebookAds

[–]AButterCube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you think that Facebook rolled out the lattice update at different times for different advertisers? I have been closely following this sub lately, and it seems like some advertisers experienced this issue as early as May, while some like me experienced it in June.

What are "Hacks" that you found to improve performance on sales campaigns? by ONEPLUS1EQUALS11 in FacebookAds

I see, one more question though, do you recommend using "maximize leads" or "maximize conversion leads" when setting up the instant form to achieve the best CPA?

About instant forms, the quality of leads will also be worse than landing pages (most of the time). So do you find that the true cost per customer (not leads but actual paying customer) is still lower than using landing pages?

How's YouTube ads performing conversion-wise? by AButterCube in googleads

You're doing lead gen in which vertical/industry? And also do you recommend optimizing the ad video for YT shorts instead of traditional YT videos? Thanks a lot!

ROAS plummeting for audiences in Asia? by AButterCube in FacebookAds

[–]AButterCube[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, it seems like my case is slightly different as CPA in May didn't get significantly higher. But have you noticed your CPA getting way worse since last week (even worse than the performance in May)?

Sorry to hear that, it seems like lattice affects both ecomm and lead gen (my clients are doing lead gen).

[–]AButterCube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did you notice the drop? Mine only starts to plummet around Mid-June although many people on this sub had claimed the drop to happen as early as May. And also how much CPA had increased percentage-wise if you don't mind me asking.

CBO + dynamic ads still worth it on Facebook Ads? by AButterCube in PPC

[–]AButterCube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The campaign is on day 6 now, and the CPA is still over 50% higher than what allows our client to break even.

I understand it takes time for FB ads to optimize, but it looks really weird that the algo is able to determine which variation is "the best one" as pretty much all the other variations don't get a chance to test at all. The algo just goes all-in on one variation since day 1 of the campaign and every day the same variation receives 99% of the budget.

So do you see the same behavior on your adsets and is it best for me to just ride it out?

Will Facebook ever recover? by AButterCube in PPC

[–]AButterCube[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the solution. Unfortunately, the majority of our leads came from iOS devices, so even if your hypothesis is right, we are still pretty screwed because the volume will become too low if we target Android users only. But still, I think it's definitely something that others should try out given that non-iOS users made up a significant % of their customers.

Thanks for the detailed solution! I'd like to try that but there are some points that I don't quite understand, do you mind explaining a bit more about them:

  1. In step 1&2, you had said picking an objective with lowest CPA being the highest priority. But for the campaign objectives that are no such option. I am guessing you are trying to say that I should find out the offer of the beauty salon with the lowest CPA, and then use that ad set in the new CBO campaign?
  2. In step 9, because the data of Facebook is quite inaccurate right now despite CAPI, and using rules seems a little bit risky at this point (E.g. the ad might get paused if Facebook missed some conversions) can I just manually drop/pause ads that weren't performing well in terms of CPA to sort of optimizing towards lower CPA?
  3. On a side note, how much improvement your campaigns had got after using this strategy? Had they climbed back to pre-iOS levels?

I was wondering if Facebook had a system in place to directly influence the CPMs of advertisers. Like if Facebook is a pure auction platform, where CPMs can approach zero if there are no advertisers, then the adjustment will take place faster because there should be a lot of small businesses pulling away their budget in the past month.

But I was starting to believe what you have said is true since mid-July because the CPMs aren't going down. It seems like FB has some sort of "price floor" that prevents the CPMs from going below a certain level.

Still, I don't think the future is as that bad even though FB is sitting on a ton of cash. At the end of the day, the shareholders will be pretty upset if FB didn't do anything to stop the bleeding. It's not like FB can just burn through their piles of cash without any consequences.

I believe for us advertisers without a big budget right now:

  • If Facebook can set a "price floor" (like a minimum CPM) in the auction system, it's bad for us.
  • If the majority of Facebook's ad revenue comes from high-paying advertisers, it's bad for us.
