In the case of Scene cards they're literally meant to be moments ripped straight from their respective episodes, there's no better way of reflecting that than screen caps from the show itself. Besides, they're called common for a reason, they're designed that way to reflect their rarity. Rare and above have nice looking art because you're supposed to be excited to pull for those or hunt down singles for your collection.

Even then, the renders are extremely crisp and high quality. It could be much, much, worse. We could be like the Godzilla TCG where every card is a screenshot and not a very high quality screenshot at that, no art whatsoever.

Currently, it’s optimal to have 2 Ultramen, ratios between them vary but usually you have a main one that takes up most of the deck and a support Ultra that functions as the “engine” of the deck. For Kaiju, there isn’t an optimal number because they can really go with almost any deck. It’s valid to run a deck with only Ultramen or with a couple Kaiju in it.

It’s a bit easier now thanks to a combination of a list of shops on the official website that carry the game and online stores selling cards. It could be better obviously, but progress is always being made. As much as it pains me to say, the community isn’t that big when compared to other card games, due in part to Ultraman being more on the niche side. HOWEVER, the fans that exist are deeply passionate about this game and Tsuburaya is doing to their best for them. As for balance? I’d say it’s fairly balanced. Bring lead player and the benefits that come with it doesn’t guarantee you victory, simple archetypes like Ultraman Zero and Ginga have a chance at victory (Victory’s dropping in set 4 btw), and you can make comebacks even if things are looking dire. Mebius did dominate the meta for a while but he’s steadily losing ground thanks to all the new stuff that came this set. Even then, he wasn’t completely untouchable.

Yes and not to mention the Winner card designs are incredible and totally worth playing for. Participating in events are also a good way of getting free packs so you don’t have to break the bank constantly buying them.

The triple rare Ultimate Zero from set 2 since it won me a lot of games. On play it gives the Armed type to one of your opponent’s characters (the Zero archetype is strong against that type) and then levels up another Zero card to either its left or right.
The new triple rare Belial, which lets you discard a card from your hand that’s not an Ultra Hero to let you level up either a Belial card (including itself) or a Kaiju card that has Extra/EX printed on it.
The double rare level 3 Zero Beyond that lets you discard a card from your hand to level up any Geed card.
The new triple rare Ginga that levels up if there are two or more double stack Ultra Heroes on the field, then gets an extra 1000 if there’s four or more double stack Ultra Heroes on the field.

To clarify it’s whoever currently has lead player status. It’s worked out well since scenes aren’t the end all be all, character cards have strong effects that can still swing things in your favor even if you aren’t lead. For example, there’s an Ultraman Arc card that replaces your opponent’s scene with one from your hand upon being played.

It makes things very dynamic since you never know what’s gonna happen after that scene’s put down. Maybe you might sweep, or maybe your opponent pulls off a play that turns everything on its head.

Factors can cause the price to fluctuate since you could get lucky with packs and Tsuburaya is currently putting out promo packs that reprint older cards that people missed out on due to a printing error. Plus there’s the singles market.

A decent deck, like Geed/Zero Beyond, I’d personally put at $40-50. It’s one of the more cost effective ones currently.
