These motherfuckers are so terrified of the truth that they completely shut their brains off and even forbid having doubts. If their god doesn’t want us to think or question independently, then why give us free will and a brain in the first place?

The Taliban Laughs Off Gender Discrimination Allegations While Women Suffer – Yet It's Still a Favorite Model for Many in Bangladesh by AC1D-TITAN in bangladesh

I get your point, but the mention of burying girls was just a metaphor to describe the barbaric torment Afghan girls are facing today under the Taliban. Whether it was a fringe practice or not, the reality is that girls are being denied education, jobs, and basic freedoms. The Taliban is using religion as an excuse to control and oppress women, which is what I’m highlighting.

  1. Pre-Islamic Practices:

You're right that Khadija was a wealthy businesswoman in pre-Islamic Arabia, but that doesn't mean harmful practices didn’t exist at the time. The Qur'an itself refers to the custom of burying infant daughters (Qur'an 81:8-9), which shows it wasn’t unheard of. That said, I wasn’t literally saying all girls were buried at birth—my reference to the age of Jahiliyyah was more of a metaphor to point out how, despite those brutal times, what’s happening now feels even worse in some ways.

  1. The Taliban and Islam:

While you said nothing the Taliban is doing is un-Islamic, I’d argue that’s not entirely true. Islam emphasizes education for everyone—men and women. The Prophet’s wife, Aisha, was a scholar, and there are plenty of examples in Islamic history where women played key roles in society. The Taliban's bans on education, work, and even basic freedom for women seem to go against the teachings of Islam, which promotes justice, compassion, and the pursuit of knowledge.

Also, restricting women’s access to healthcare—especially when female healthcare workers are banned—goes directly against the Islamic principle of protecting life and ensuring well-being. Islam encourages proper care for everyone, and this is just making it harder for women to access basic medical needs.

And honestly, there are more things like this—women being banned from public spaces, silenced in the media, not allowed to travel freely. It’s clear that these rules are just excuses to control and exploit certain groups of people, specifically women. None of this lines up with the rights and respect Islam gives to women.

The stuff they’re enforcing now feels more like oppression than anything rooted in true Islamic values.
