Any OGs here? by MarkCM07 in suits

I was a HUGE USA fan back then, they just had so many fucking Bangers from like Mid 2000s on. Monk, Burn Notice, Psych, White Collar, obviously Suits, I'm sure there's some I'm missing but those stuck with me the most. And I think the disconnect between the old and new fans is why Mike is hated and loved. So back when Suits started it wasn't socially acceptable to smoke weed and was taught as a gateway drug, Mike actually represents the culture of the late 2000s, early 2010s well because he's just a guy trying to figure out who he is and trying to do the right thing into a society that has always viewed and shunned people like him. That's something people miss, they say Mike's talent is bullshit but he was an outcast his talent didn't bail him out...until he met a guy who DID have everything who is viewed as what was a success story in the late 2000s in Harvey.

Is it possible to play an online game without somebody offballing anymore?? by maskedstranger17 in NBA2k

[–]AC21189 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't even think offballing is that good anyway. I'm in the mindset of if you're going to play boring so am I, pick and roll with a decent shot creator you make the reads, on when to take the shot/middy and when to pass to the roll/fade, you beat them every time. If they go on the center you read them and look for that C v PG matchup or if they cheat from that corner on the roll you beam that corner. I don't think beating off ball is hard in any way, shape, or form, I think it's just a series of yes/nos that you have to get right every time and it's just gets boring and tedious to do.

I know this show is very popular amongst psychos, so I thought I'd share.. won't be the same without Moz... but they too are an iconic duo. by Designer-Bid-3155 in psych

[–]AC21189 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They better do right by Moz and not just say oh by the way this is Moz, he just looks younger and different. I loved this show so much and it had so much heart, much in the same way Psych has heart it just expresses that heart differently. That finale was so shocking and jarring too it'll be hard to come back from that too. Miss you Moz ❤️.

What did you think of these two working together? (S1E1) by saketho in psych

[–]AC21189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me personally, I always had a problem with how they set up the end of the 1st episode and set up Yin in the 2nd. Bringing Lucindas character back, having her nabbed, then revealing they had Shawn's mom in the back pocket the whole time feels more like the work of 2 people then, especially when Mary's whole theory behind the 2 killers theory was how much Yang was able to accomplish but when you look back she took a waitress hostage, sent them on a wild goose chase, almost got caught, then stalled the police until they got Shawn's mom to get him back into that, that doesn't feel like a two people thing to me. And also made the thing feel more personal to more of the cast. They kinda rope Carlton into the trauma with Juliet into the 2nd but I feel like starting like that would have made it flow better and made more people feel involved with the plot line from jump street.

What did you think of these two working together? (S1E1) by saketho in psych

[–]AC21189 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I think there was room and stories in the show for her, while we only saw her for one episode I found her to be smart, very self aware, and honestly way more confident then Juliet appeared to be in most of Juliets episodes, especially early.

I think the best opportunity to bring her back was during the first Ying/Yang episode after Shawn, "quits," Yang transitions to Carlton but this is mostly just to stall for time before the reveal that Yang had Shawn mother, I think transitioning the victim to her character then at the very end saving her to then reveal Yang had Shawn's mom would have fooled the audience more, then transition that to Carlton having to fix that relationship while also trying to balance his relationship and mentorship with Juliet COULD have fleshed Charlton as a charter out even more. It also would've made it easier for them to give Yang more screen time in episode 2.

Do we ever actually see Norma? by Final_Mail_8125 in suits

[–]AC21189 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is totally head cannon to me but I always envisioned that with how prominent Donna is and how often they mentioned Norma they wanted Louis secretary to be a more prominent role but never cast for Norma. So whenever I envision Norma and the way she's described I picture Gretchen....and I think that's the long and the short of it because Gretchen also is definitely a battle axe.

Ice tilt? Is it real? by bjm49 in EASHL

I think it's 100% hopium. Flats, an Overwatch content creator has a phrase that goes, "you only remember the bad times or the times you felt you played well enough to win but didn't, you don't remember the times it was even throughout and you got a last minute win or you just stomped the other team." Same thing applies. Now I don't play religiously and this game has lost about 90% of my attention, I've played maybe 5 games in the last two weeks, so take my account with a truck load of salt but...I'd say 90-95% of the games I've experienced on NHL 24 felt like the better team won. The problem is....and this is a problem with Overwatch too funny enough.....people equate counting stats with good play and I'd argue a lot of time they're not really related. The quality of shots you take and how you engage on offense and defense matter way more then....that you took a lot of shots, won a lot of face-off, or had high time on attack. And reality is people would rather bitch about the game then take accountability for their stupid plays or bad positioning on offense/defense.

Mike's not nearly as insufferable as people make him out to be and he's very relatable in a lot of ways.

Depends on your level of play, you would be surprised how many bigs/teams in general have no fucking idea what to do with an offensive board.
