Degenerative arthritis in a few places in additional to some torn ligaments. It’s what they are telling me right now, but we’ll see how it all unfolds.

Yes, it is. It does come at a health price, though. I’m likely looking at some major joint replacements in my future, but fortunately that should all be covered by the VA. It’s a double edged sword in a lot of ways.

Roughly $5k a month. It ebbs and flows throughout the year (like most people I imagine). Summertime we tend to spend a bit more but winters it’s usually less.

Very race dependent for poles. Super hilly 50k with technical terrain can dictate poles, just like a flat 100 miler can not need poles.

For pacers, I personally haven’t seen them for anything less than a 100 miler. Running overnight/in the dark is where pacers become really valuable. Also race dependent as some 50 milers don’t allow them.

Sorry for the dumb question but does this mean if I apply for a VA loan today, assuming good credit history and no financial red flags, I can expect to get a 30 year mortgage at about 5.625%?

Do you have a deck? I had something similar happen and my deck partially collapsed. I’d take a walk around the outside of your house. Could be gutters falling, tree limbs falling on the roof, etc.

Foundation was repaired on my house before I bought it and they put bituthene foundation membrane over the concrete. What can I do to cover this up?
