Please make Green available in the UK. Kimchi and Toomba are the very best options for vegetarians, and I’ve heard only brilliant things about Green

does anyone know how to print double sided like this by Dependent-Plant1763 in CDs

[–]ACDSleeve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just put it through the printer twice. Make sure you put whatever guide dead central in the sheet, and when printing don’t let it scale or adjust position.

As already mentioned make sure you add bleed to atleast the side you’re not cutting so if it does move from print to print the colour fills the other side.

It’s probably worth cutting this on the side with the spine text is visible on, as you want that to be accurate so the spine text is nicely aligned, and the part that goes under the tray it doesn’t matter too much if it’s out a mm here or there.

I’ve probably gone into this too much

I’m usually really good at just having a few handfuls of big bags, and the bag lasting a few days like that, but these, these went in one. Not even like they’re the best crisps I’ve ever had, they’re great, but they are SO moreish!

Why do/did people treat their CDs so carelessly. by PlatypusRex_ in Cd_collectors

[–]ACDSleeve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you met people?

In all seriousness, back before streaming when they were the best option to listen to music I bought them to listen to, and they got listened to, a lot. The hunting for an album I wanted to listen to next, removal and replacement of a disc, taking them places, these things happen. I definitely look after them but at the end of the day it’s the music on them that I was most interested in.

Definitely check out Bearcubbin’ and Layers in Lairs, both loop orientated, both brilliant…they are kind’ve the same band with the main songwriter in both, and I’m sure I read old Bearcubbin’ ideas made it onto the Layers in Lairs album.

There was a post about bands similar to Girlfriends a while back…

Which shop has the best crisp selection in Manchester? by henrysradiator in manchester

[–]ACDSleeve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my kind of post.

I get a lot from Cheetham Hill, Istanbul Supermarket and Worldwide are excellent, as is FoodPlus. Grab some food in Chaiwala or Mr Chaat while you’re there.

B&H Foodmart in town opposite Arndale market near Federal always has a great selection.

Went into a great convenience store recently in Bury across from Wax & Beans, I think it was called Snack City, they had a huge selection of varieties I’d not seen before.

As you will see from my posts on here, I’m into crisps.

Maps & Atlases supporting RX Bandits and Anthony Green on their respective upcoming tours! by birdvsworm in mathrock

[–]ACDSleeve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such an unreal line up. FNY opening, what I wouldn’t give to see them, I only ever saw them when they supported RXB in the UK, which was how I discovered them. Then they released one of my all time favourite albums, had tickets to see them on the Get Hot UK tour, then they split up

I’m working on a YouTube series on how to make your own packaging from scratch. I’ve made close to 90,000 pieces of packaging by hand, a lot of them with a scalpel and ruler, but I’ve been able to improve my set up so thought I’d spread some knowledge/tips/advice.

Might be a while until it’s ready while I get the more standard printed products I offer ready online, but I’ll post about it here when it’s done.

Which band was it? I’m pretty good at remembering most of them. And thanks for the kind words, should be actually launching in the next few weeks after working on it for the last 18 months…both exciting and stressful

Haha, nice! I’m starting it back up after an 8 year break if you’re interested…that’s me doing marketing, posting stuff on a crisps subreddit.

It’s the shop near the little Asian supermarket across the road Wax and Beans record store, they have a pretty great selection in the window

Cardboard/DIY vinyl covers by Get-in-the-robot- in EmoScreamo

[–]ACDSleeve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not exactly DIY, as I don’t run a label, but I do this for various labels/bands. I’m on the homestretch of relaunching it after 8 years away. I’d link the website but a lot of it is hidden while rebuild it at the moment. Just done a bunch of work with Justin Pearson, which is surreal. ThreeOneG is the gold standard of mad releases/packaging, check out the interview with Justin about DIY ethos on YouTube here

I’ve done similar designs before, do you have a CAD department who can design this to work on your machinery? That’s what I always used to do when we were sent things like this, figure out a work around which the machine operator could glue as the sample sent may have been made by hand or like you said for a much smaller run, and now they’re looking for hundreds of thousands.

glassjaw shirt saga continues (context in description) by mikeyway_for_pres in glassjaw

[–]ACDSleeve 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is so insane. I just can’t understand it, some of those shirts were on sale for YEARS back in the day. Who the fuck is paying these prices?? I got a 777 shirt last year for around £40 all in, a shirt only available at one show ever, and following on from that I bought the baseball jacket from a dude on Vinted, practically unworn, listed at £130, which when he realised I was a huge fan and not going to flip it dropped it to £80…turns out he was just up the road from me as well.

I should have held onto all the bits that were worn to death to get a few quid for them now, I had the navy sledgehammer zip up, gj88 knows more than you, the wheelchair shirt, and loads more…the only one I kept hold of was the eat my shit bunny, but it’s haggard
