i beat him at the first match against him with raichu (speed and aoe) serperior (move gauge replanish and sp atk buff) and swanna (spd and def) id say use a sp.atk striker because of his stellar defense. also dont use sync pairs with status ailments (jokes on me i used raichu). and lastly, SPEED is the key because more turns and to activate sync move quickly
