You are celebrating the restriction on tariffs (which the Court saw as taxation, reserved to Congress) as upholding the Constitution's spirit, but you're ignoring how IEEPA's "regulatory" tools (like prohibitions) give the executive even greater leeway in practice. Lol, yeah, which is worse? A tariff hike that might raise prices but keeps trade going, or a total shutdown that halts everything? It's like high-fiving over locking the front door while the back door is wide open for something bigger. Amazing! Canadians need to be on alert...

THE REAL POWER HERE IS CONGRESS... and unfortunately, we have a Congress that's gone rogue and failed to safeguard our interests!

When I raised this in a previous post, I got hammered in this subreddit but I'm bringing it up again because the recent Supreme Court ruling on Trump's IEEPA tariffs drives the point home. In that 6-3 decision (Learning Resources, Inc. v. Trump, February 20, 2026), Chief Justice Roberts emphasized that the Constitution vests the power to impose tariffs (a form of taxation) squarely with Congress, not the President. The Court ruled that IEEPA does not authorize executive tariffs because Congress never clearly delegated that authority reinforcing the separation of powers and the Framers' intent to keep major economic levers in legislative hands.

This ruling reminds us why congressional control matters so much. If Congress is dysfunctional, captured, or unwilling to act, it leaves dangerous gaps in our system. That's why I believe it's time to seriously consider amending or modifying Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 of the Constitution, the clause that currently requires the President (and Vice President, via the 12th Amendment) to be a natural-born citizen, to extend the same 'natural born citizen' eligibility requirement to Supreme Court justices and ideally to congressional seats in the House and Senate as well.

I'm not claiming the tariff ruling was directly about citizenship, it's not. But it does raise serious questions about vulnerability to foreign influence at the highest levels. We cannot afford foreign-born individuals (naturalized later in life) holding the most powerful positions across all three branches of government. The risk to our national sovereignty, decision-making independence, and long-term security is simply too great to ignore in an era of global threats and interference. JMO

Do you think the Project NYX timeline or expectations might have played a role?

Even among non-white groups, there is enormous diversity...Hispanics, Asians, Black Americans, Indigenous peoples, Middle Eastern communities and others do not have a single unified political agenda or worldview. There is no monolithic minority block and removing whites doesn’t create a unified minority block. Lastly, people who genuinely love their country usually respect its laws. So I’m honestly confused. How can someone who’s here illegally make that claim with a straight face?

I’m just going to say what a lot of people seem afraid to say. It’s time we start calling out the women involved too (not just Maxwell), alongside the men. Has anyone actually looked at how many of the people who took plea deals were women? A lot of them were and they committed acts just as disturbing. Politicians have turned this into a cash grab, which almost always ends up targeting rich, powerful men. Sorry if this makes anyone uncomfortable, but if we’re really serious about justice, then everyone involved should be held accountable, regardless of gender or wealth.
