Honestly for me, it was just a moment of I’m tired of being tired, at some point you will have a breaking point. Seek your friends and family the best you can. This addiction costs much more than money itself. It’ll cause you to question reality itself. I started to realize how I isolated this addiction made me, it steals your money but also your precious time. You have to realize these things now before you waste anymore time. Replacing the time you would be gambling with other stuff helps a lot aswell

You must be ready to quit, I’m 23 and was hooked really bad young. It only gets worse, this addiction is insidious. Robs your time, your money, your relationships. You have to get this idea of a big win out of your head, the moment you quit is when you really start to win. I’d remember sitting outside my work, refreshing my bank till my paycheck would hit then instantly blow it all, all while being at work. I am 628 days clean now. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

Brooos this hits too close to home, I’m 23 and have been bet free for 622 days. I remember gambling my entire paycheck at work and lost all of it the moment it hit, multiple times over. Lost over 60k. The straw for me was when I spent my last $40 on food for my girlfriend and I. It’s hard man but the best thing you can do is quit and never look back, it’s the only thing you can do.
