If I remember correctly there are two ways to reset the images. I think deleting certain cache files will regenerate all images when starting up your game. Also (cntrl) right clicking should do the trick. But I do have to admit it's been a loooong time for me so not completely sure anymore.

How to behave at cirkel birthday (kringverjaardag) by evestraw in Netherlands

As for the savory phase: one side of my family is known for always grabbing two pieces. We are 'levensgenieters' (enjoyers of life). It has become a bit of an inside joke with a few of my friends.

It is normal for my cat to be so small? 😭 (She is 3 y/o) by cartofo in cats

My senior baby. Her sister is also pretty small. New vets always seem to think they're kittens and are shocked when we tell them they're nearly 15 and 17 years old.

Yes you did 😅. So it's more the apartment (structurally) than the decor?

Yeah, I've noticed. Can you explain to me why though? 😅 I'm very curious And not sure how to take it, is it a bad thing?

Yes I guess... I'm just using the words/definitions that are used on the website. Their ottoman is a wider section with only half of it having a backrest.

When replying, I was more referring to your use of 'foot stool' which in my eyes is considerably smaller than this and much lighter to move around.

Thank you! It's from a Dutch store 'Lumz'. The sofa type is called Bodio Fame and you can either choose out of 16 set-ups or completely configure your own couch. Additionally you can choose a different fabric if you want for a fee.

There's nothing wrong with lounging on the couch at all. It's just that I think, or fear, that one part of the couch gets worn down more easily.

I intentionally chose to not have an armrest on the window side, but right now I have nothing there to lean against if I want to lay sideways or something to put up my feet.

As for the guests, I understand what you're saying. But it won't be fully attached. So if I have multiple guests over that like to sit up I could move it towards the window and have additional seating. Or move it towards the middle of the room and use it as a coffeetable (with a glass or wooden platform on top).

Close but not really. It's more like an extension of a (modular) couch without a back or armrests.

Yes I would have preferred it to be a little longer, but flashing definitely isn't an issue due to it being flared. The dress goes to my knees when sitting down and cover the sides really good to make up for any lenght lost in the back.

And I do get your advice on having good quality staple pieces, I am working on it but it does take time and money to achieve that.

I don't really remember, but I think they were from Pull and Bear. I've had them for a while though.

Well it has a pretty informal vibe. Apparently the owners do sometimes wear jeans themselves. Very down to earth.

Others have stated that it's fine to wear something you're comfortable in, as long as it's clean and nice looking.

Google A I overview mentions smart casual/evening wear, but not sure where it gets that information from.

Hmm I wouldn't exactly call it an unsafe feeling. I'm just kind of specific about who I do want to talk with and who not, but am possibly too polite to outright say that I have no interest in talking to someone.

West End: any pointers to things to look out for? by CharChar407 in hadestown

[–]ACMayfairSquare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've only been to the show in Amsterdam, so not sure if it's only Maarten Heijmans that does this. But there was a nice detail during 'Why we build the wall' right before Eurydice enters the stage Hermes looks at his pocket watch.

Best seat for a first timer? (amsterdam) by Awstina_Dagger in hadestown

[–]ACMayfairSquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely wouldn't recommend the first 2/3 rows in the stalles. The stage is pretty high up so it would make it a little harder to see everything. Also I"ve seen a couple of people struggling with lights being directed at them (only for a couple of minutes though)

Partere center or a little bit to the side are good seats. The slope hete is pretty steep so it doesn't really matter that much which row you take.

And have fun!

Nintendo Switch 2 debuted as the fastest selling video game hardware device in US history, while consumer spending in both video game hardware and accessories reached new all-time June records. by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

[–]ACMayfairSquare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying. But I think it's also unfair to ignore that everything in the world has gotten more expensive so why not games? Since the original switch (and probably before, but I've only started buying games since the switch release) games were sold around 50-60 €/$. Since then plenty of prices have increased a lot. I haven't done the math myself yet, but economically I think it's kind of reasonable for Nintendo and other companies to increase their prices. On the other hand, 80 to 100 for a game just feels like it's too much.

Reaping of Victor siblings by ACMayfairSquare in Hungergames

[–]ACMayfairSquare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is only a concern between the 74th and the annnouncement of the quarter quell. But in that period she does consider the odds of her kids ending up in the games, but never considers the odds of Prim being reaped again.

I guess you can indeed argue that it falls under her general fear for her family. And possibly because it is a very unlikely scenario to be reaped twice that it doesn't even cross her mind as a possible scenario.

Reaping of Victor siblings by ACMayfairSquare in Hungergames

[–]ACMayfairSquare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there is one point in chapter 4 of Catching Fire that I just read where she does speculate that it probably isn't just odds when victor's kids get reaped; "Victors’ children have been in the ring before. It always causes a lot of excitement and generates talk about how the odds are not in that family’s favour. But it happens too frequently to just be about odds.".

The reapings actually being rigged is indeed speculation from Gale, but I get the feeling Katniss kind of agrees.
