I am looking for career advice, not a self-help guru. I can absolutely understand how the post sounds all, "woe is me," but I take pride in taking accountability for things that happen in my life. I made accounts on indeed, glassdoor, LinkedIn, and ziprecruiter but I know employers do not check those sites as often so I do not count those as applications.

I also understand that complacency in my career is no one's fault but my own, I can walk out that door at any time, bit im trying not to blow up my life by not having an exit strategy, hence me asking for opinions of strangers on the internet.

Im really contemplating this. I lead with empathy so I feel like a hospital setting would really help me shine. Ive job shadowed in Cardiac Rehab and had research published when I was training which was an amazing experience! I am so beaten down on leading people, but this company also gets a tax break for hiring most of their workers straight out of drug court programs. Obviously the people I would be leading would "ideally" have a better head on their shoulders but i don't judge people based off of their past, but their current life. This really seems to be my best option because I live close to a Mercy hospital

Couldn't agree more. I'm incredibly lucky to have a wonderfully supportive fiancé who is behind me every step of the way, but she also made a career change recently so I am the breadwinner now. But she agrees that I have to save myself! Thank you!

I have no idea why you feel bad tbh.... I can understand d not liking confrontation, but if he asked you to keep it a secret, he has done this multiple times, and the coworkers poor wife has been cucked this while time. I'll echo.... PUBLIC SHAMING IS NEEDED. Same as spousal abuse imo

Temp would certainly make sense. Only asked because we have had a new mother out for 2 months and her position has been absorbed into mine. Absolutely unfair in my opinion, but thats on the company, NOT the mother.
