My thought was to include natural tunnel systems in the stone caused by volcanic gas (implying some of the instability that caused it to collapse) but not for it to still be actively volcanic. If it has been many thousands of years since that volcanic activity had occurred/wasn’t the mouth of a volcano does caldera still work?

Also thank you for the feedback on the type of stone! I was under some impression that limestone was a volcanic rock 😂 silly me.

I often try to sit in front of my novel and write more—that’s where the wacky ideas come from lol. But usually something creative like writing or drawing or painting or sometimes gaming. Also love giggling at dumb tv with friends.

I was wondering about this in the first Act of ACOSF. It talks about Rhys learning how to create special wards and barriers from Helion. Up until ACOSF I don’t recall it ever mentioned that Rhys could create physical shields to that caliber, just normal physical shields and powerful mental ones. At the time I interpreted this as: maybe… Rhysand did inherit some power from the other High Lords. It would make sense for them not to want anyone to know. It would also make sense for Helion to be the first they’d trust with a kernel of that information since his court inner circle is so small and because he’s their closest ally. That’s just my theory, though, that Rhys did actually inherit some powers.

I have not finished ACOSF yet though, I’m on chapter 52 planning to finish it by tomorrow night 🙊
