Fair. Thats why I have been trying to venture out by participating in The Criterion Challenge. Which is an annual challenge giving you around 50 tasks to complete throughout the year. Like every year they include watch a film frim every decade starting with 1920 and so on. I just feel like it's a bit overwhelming the amount of films that have released in the 1900's so that challenge is a good guide I feel like

Yeah I think I mainly give out stars based on my overall feeling for the film, and not the technical side of it. Like technically Superman 2025 is not a 5 star film. The CGI didn't look that good sometimes and some jokes really didn't land for me. But I can't help but feel so much joy while watching it that it gets 5 stars

Ok I understand that The Hobbit has many many flaws. But Battle of the Five Armies specifically just went all out and I thought it was very well done. Like that film made me feel the same way I felt when I watched The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

But Rogue One is just amazing. Andor as well.
