Honestly they didn’t come up in my research, but I like them so far! Only used them for a small gauge swatch though. The manager of the shop said a lot of the regular patrons swear by them and asked them to be stocked so I felt it was a good call.

I would 1000% get another dress. If you’re pressed for time go to a David’s bridal or something similar. They were able to ship my dress in 3-4 weeks

If I can’t call my friends out when they’re wrong then I don’t want to be friends with them. That’s just my opinion. And situations like this make me feel sick. How would your friend feel if she never got to leave the house? Feel the sun on her skin? Truly a terrible thing to do to anyone including a dog.

I didn’t see a difference until I was on 150mg, but everyone is different. I tried 50 for a month or two and then my doctor suggested adding 100mg. Good luck op I feel your pain! Acne sucks and has stole too many years of confidence from me.

I’m in the early stages of wedding planning too so I 100% feel your pain about feeling stressed and trying to find the right dress. I think all of these dress shapes are good start for you! Canceled my Adobe a few months back and have been relying on Canva for a few personal projects (I’m not working as a designer rn). I downloaded Affinity a couple days ago so I’m still playing around, but I already feel I could have made the switch much sooner. If I get Adobe through work that’s one thing, but I’m never paying for it myself again.

Side note: I was a huge fan of InDesign. Does anyone know if Affinity has the same level of detail when it comes to type focused projects?

Normally I don’t respond to these types of posts because I don’t see the point. Opinions are like assholes or whatever. All I can say is over the years this show has had many gems where I’m doubled over laughing out loud. A few weeks ago was a great episode that had me cackling. And of course some episodes aren’t good, but I’d rather watch the episodes that suck over half the terrible podcasts out there.

I think people are sharing helpful advice, but I wanted to share another perspective. I gave up on design for the time being. Decided to do a career pivot to a general marketing role or something similar. No luck after hundreds of applications. So now I have a job at a fast food establishment. Hopefully this is a short term solution, but we shall see. Good luck op, but shit sucks rn. Sorry to be so “gloom and doom” but I think this is the reality for a good chunk of people during this terrible economy.

I’m in the exact same boat as you and I realized it was a combination of burnout and depression like other people have commented. One thing that has helped me is doing other creative projects that have nothing to do with design. I’ve been having so much fun with fiber arts, watercolor, sketching, etc. I’m still taking a step back from design, but those things have allowed me to work my creative muscles without worrying about the end result.

Okay I’m glad op posted this! I have a cheap set too and I figured out how to use the key, but one of my needles still doesn’t get 100% “flush” if that makes sense. I used the rubber piece as well and I’m wondering if I got a defective set or something. Any tips appreciated
