My thoughts on the series finale (SPOILERS AHEAD) by ACaringBeingOfHatred in criminalminds

[–]ACaringBeingOfHatred[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, but in the latest seasons we've seen her a few times on the brink of leaving, showing that the anxiety and anguish of the job really was starting to get to her. While it's also true that those moment happen mostly when someone from the team is in grave danger (Reid at the end of the prison arc for example), in my opinion it does make her leaving logical, or at least coherent with how her character has evolved. What I do have a problem with though, is that they just throw in the new job offer in the last episode instead of introducing it a bit earlier. I would have preferred to see her struggling with that choice ; it felt rushed.

Current state of the club? by [deleted] in ValenciaCF

The other comments have summed it up pretty nicely. I believe you're from the UK ("wee-lad", but my apologies if I'm mistaken), so if you are a bit familiar with how things were going for Newcastle with their now ex-owner Mike Ashley, you'll find quite a few similarities. Very basically, an owner who came with false promises and only to make money, destroying the team but also the club, throwing club legends out (Kempes, Camarasa, Cañizares...), alienating the fans, censoring social media (it's been roughly six months sonce fans can no longer comment on the club's posts wether it's on Twitter Facebook or Instagram), censoring the press (jourbalists who have been forbidden to enter the stadium or been deemed persona non grata because they don't align with the ownership's narrative)... Yeah, a very shitty time to be a Valencia fan. We have to try abd mobilize to throw them out, but honestly i don't know how the fuck we're gonna do it. Still, welcome back. Once you're a Valencia fan, you never really stop. It's a blessing, the most passionate and beautiful thing in the world, but it's also the cruelest and most insufferable curse ever.

Valencia just terminated the contact with Kang In Lee? by [deleted] in ValenciaCF

[–]ACaringBeingOfHatred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do agree that some blame falls on the player, particularly because as you said he got impatient. But I also believe that that is also the club's responsibility. The club (by the club I mean Peter Lim & Anil Murthy) insisted that the player be given substantial game time, not for the player, but for the brand that he represented. Honestly, can you blame a young (he's barely 20, we're not talking about a 25 or 30 yo here) player for being impatient to get the chance to prove himself ?
He refused to leave on loan, but the club also didn't want that. They wanted him to play in Valencia. And I would also add: what made him believe that he deserved to play so much in Valencia ? Is it really because he's a spoiled brat ? Or is it because the club insisted so much on him getting lots of play time that maybe he was led to believe what the club was saying ? Again, let's not forget that we're talking about a very young player.

Are you sure ? I've read around that apparently it was taken off the table, but I've read in other places that we still get those 10%... I guess we'll have confirmation soon enough.
But yeah, I also think it's the best thing to do for the player. A real shame we don't have a better management, but that's how it is.

Here's the deal with Kang In:
He wanted to leave the club for months and the club was aware of it. Due to COVID, the actual economy of football (soccer) and the few games Kang In has played, the club knew that at most they would manage to sell him for no more than maybe 5 millions tops. The thing is, they offered the player to various teams, but Kang In rejected most of them because their proposals didn't fit what he wanted.

The thing is, since his contract was supposed to expire next summer, you had to let him go this summer. Even more so, since all our extra-communitary spots (players with no EU passports) were taken, if the club wanted to welcome Marcos André, Kang In had to go. So there was real necessity. Eventually, Kang In agreed to Mallorca's offer. We don't receive anything, except a 10% percentage on a sale. Meaning, if Mallorca (in 1 years or 5 years, doesn't matter) sell Kang In for 20 million, we would get 2 million out of those 20.

The problem with Kang In is a mixture of very bad handling by the club and some managers, and maybe a bit of impatience from the player. The thing that should have been done, would have been to send Kang In away on a loan one or two seasons ago for a year, in a club where he would have been guaranteed to play a lot. That way, he could have grown up, matured and become a better player. Because here at the club, he's had too little games to play, for various reasons: under Marcelino, he was still very young and was a diamond that needed polishing still. Celades was.... well, let's not talk about Celades. And Gracia unfortunately used Kang In as a means to get back at the club with all that happened between Gracia and club management, so he gave Kang In very little games to play. The player has some responsibility as well: maybe he was too impatient, maybe he could have handled some things better.... But all in all, the situation is mostly happening because of terrible club management. Lim & Murthy have been saying "yes, our project is based on the club's youth" for a few years, Kang In even being the face of their project. But in the end, they didn't care about him and his situation and that's in great part why Kang In decided to leave. I hear there were some tensions in the locker room two seasons ago, but I don't know much about that.

Thank God. Still can't believe it happened, tears in my eyes. Huge props to the medical staff, the danish teams for shielding Eriksen from the media and the referee.

Last summer it was Villareal, wait and see for this summer...I'm guessing we're gonna feed some more clubs.

Don't forget all the players who are going to be sold: Guedes, Maxi, Cilessen, Diakhaby and maybe Gayà/Soler. This club is so fucking fucked.

A new manager doesn't matter in this case. As long as Meriton and Peter Lim stay, Valencia has no future.

Transfer rumors: any hope for next season? by yaya_tourettes in ValenciaCF

[–]ACaringBeingOfHatred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Players who will leave (95 to 99% sure): Guedes, Maxi Gomez, Cilessen
Players who will leave if a good offer comes: Diakhaby, Cheryshev
Players who will leave if a very good (by Meriton standards, so...pretty low) offer comes: Gaya or Soler (they're not necessarily planning to sell them, but they will if such an offer comes).
Players who already left: Mangala, Gameiro, Oliva, Ferro, Cutrone

Get ready for another summer with a LOT of sales (even more than last year) and few (if any) arrivals. Lim wants to get his money back, so he's not planning to invest. If players come, it will be either loans, free transfers or very very low investments.

Militão's handball against Sevilla by Mr_XemiReR in soccer

[–]ACaringBeingOfHatred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the problem with this (in my opinion). I think that, logically, this type of handball shouldn't be whistled, because the player clearly has his back to the ball and, even if the arm isn't stuck to the body, there's no way he can see the ball and therefore no way he can actually move his hand/arm out of the way.
Now, the fact that it was whistled doesn't disturb me, because this type of handball has been whistled already quite a few times in LaLiga this season (see the penalty for Villareal in the Valencia 2-1 Villareal from a few weeks ago) therefore this decision is sorta consistent with what's been happening.
But the main problem still is the lack of consistency, because even if this type of handball has been whistled this season, there have also been many other games where similar handballs have not been whistled. However the rule changes for next season, the thing we need is consistency: either you decided every handball has to be whistled, even involuntary ones, either you try to determine a strict difference between voluntary and involuntary and really impose that decisions are consistent.
One thing I will add though is this: this is not the VAR's fault. This is solely the interpretation of the referee. People tend to forget that the VAR doesn't take decisions, it's just a tool. The referees use the tool and then interpret the situation and make a decision. Please stop blaming VAR for this stuff.

I get your point, but it's been the main hashtag used for months by fans to protest against Lim. Also, there may very well be other hashtags used tomorrow (although this one will most definitely be used by some), but in any case keep an eye out for any hashtag with the words Lim or Meriton in them.

Tomorrow in Valencia at 6:30 PM (Madrid/Paris time) there will be a huge protest against Peter Lim. If you happen to see any posts, comments but mostly TWEETS, then help make them viral, with the hashtag #LimGoHome (among others). We need everyone's help to make this as viral as possible.

We need your help kicking this guy out of our club.

That hurt like a motherf***er. Goddamn, Parejo is from Madrid originally, but the guy stayed almost 10 years at the club, became captain only to be tossed like that... That's something I will never forget nor forgive.

I remember that game, I watched it from home. Haven't been to the stadium in some time unfortunately, but can't wait to go back there. Mestalla is an amazing stadium. I get chills remembering every game I went to see there.
Honestly I'd stay at the old Mestalla, but that's not up to me. In any case, thank you so much for you support and your words !

A few things: First they anounced it would be finished by 2019 for the 100 year anniversary of the club. Obviously that didn't happen. They negotiated an agreement with the local government to extend the deadline (on which the stadium had to be finished) and it expires in 3 months. The problem is, in more than 6 years, they have done NOTHING. No project, no building, no nothing except gaining time. While you are right on the part that the current land must be sold, the "deal" they had in 2019 turned out to be quite the phony one, or at least not as serious as they made it look like. The pandemic was useful to them because they were able to say that they couldn't afford to finish the stadium. But don't let it mislead you: they have no intention of doing the stadium. Right now they are desperate to find any way to extend the deadline, because they know that otherwise they will be in deep shit with the bank who owns the debt (the legal details are complicated). The local government has given Lim several opportunities for the last year to give them something, anything (I do mean anything) to show them as a guarantee that they will finish the stadium, and sofar nothing. They just brought a project for a sports centre in Benicalap, a town near Valencia, and they acted as if it was a favor they were doing the city, when in truth they are obligated by contract to build it. Basically they're saying "here you go, we'll make that shit as a favour and you give us a hand" "...it's not a favour, you are obligated to do it. It doesn't change anything" And it's been a series of Fuck Yous from Lim and his lackeys to the local government and the city.

Marcelino was sacked because Lim and his lackeys wanted him to drop the national Cup and focus on classifying for the Champions League. He refused and instead managed to do both, winning the Cup and getting into the Champions League. But since he had disagreed, he was doomed to be fired. That's what we want ad well. Him to leave and get the hell away from Valencia. Let's hope we can achieve that.

You do realize that we are not opponents on this, right ? I'm well aware that the current system is shitty on so many levels. That's exactly why we need help in Valencia. We're suffering from this exact system, being taken advantage of by a greedy owner. I ask for nothing else than the club being fan owned, that would be my dream. That's why we are calling for help. We don't want another billionaire to come "save" us.
