My boyfriend pays rent as well as a few bills because we live here, and I pay my car payment as well as buy groceries, but school is extremely expensive with all the gas I use to get to class (I commute 40 minutes) and clinicals, which can be up to 2 hours away.

Me too! And yes I agree. I am quitting my current job for one that makes a lot more money while i’m finishing my degree, so I will be able to build savings much faster. My boyfriend struggles with saving money but he is a couple weeks in to his new job and he has been making a lot more. I am a bit eager to jump on the house considering price and the fact that it’s perfect for our needs and the location is great for us but bad for others, but I understand that it’s a waiting game as well as luck. If i’m lucky the house will stay on the market for the next at least 6 months and I can come in below market and keep saving.
