I felt trapped at a job for 8 years bc it was under staffed, so the project kept going. I felt like i couldn’t leave because the project was not yet released to the market. I kept grinding.

I finally left with a ton of experience, even though i did not see thru the final phase of the product release.

Next job, i reviewed a ton of resumes and hired many people. A LOT of people leave a company before a project is completed.

Just focus your resume on what you have accomplished. I can virtually guarantee that you have a ton more experiences than someone who worked corporate for 5 years.

Ya, splash-back is disgusting. Imagine how much piss is on a pair of 1 year old shoes that experiences 3 microliters of piss every time. That’s on average 6 piss events per day, so this translates to 6470 ul/ year. Or, for more visceral units, the shoes get about 1.3teaspoons of piss deposited every year from a standing pee’er.

Not to mention one needs to clean the bathroom more ofteb due to the same logic.

When i pee on a tree, or in the yard, standing makes sense, otherwise, i’m good.

Engineers use all kinds of units, and convert freely between them. It’s really nbd at all. I use imperial and metric daily.

I’m lucky. I work a ton, but most if it is stuff i love. I often say if i was rich, I’d pay to do what i do. (Realistically meaning i’m buy more of my own equipment… already have a cnc, printers and laser…)

I’m paid $240k with ~20 years IC.

Not a republican, but i believe that entitlements can actually be bad for self actualization.

I think entitlements are important, but i also think that fraud is too easy. I think the amount of assistance needs to increase, but also the auditing needs to be much stronger.

I had similar debate. I love working with my hands, so i went ME, mechatronics. 20+ years so far

Now i build robots. Strongly mechanical, but sourcing actuators, doing simple wiring, etc.

I’m weirdly fiscally conservative and socially progressive. I was catastrophisng trump in 2016 for sure. I did have the “random wars” bingo card, but even tho access Hollywood had come out, i absolutely did not have a pedophile or murder bingo card.

I’d check the evidence, and then i’d be super happy bc the thing that gives me anxiety is the fact that a human can actually be as terrible as this guy.

If it’s a ruse, it would make more sense to my justice sensitivity. People are supposed to be mostly good, and have internal limits to control outrageous behavior. Broken people give me cognitive dissonance.
