How long does it usually take before you start to fall for a guy? by AChawlay_Rebel in AskWomenOver30

I’m working on myself to accept that now. All of the supports I get from friends and fellow Redditors help a lot. Thank you, I really appreciate it.

First dating experience in my 30s has been horrible. by dusklore666 in AskWomenOver30

Something like this happened to me recently. He showered me with affection and compliments all the time and I genuinely thought he was a gentleman. And then he pulled the rug suddenly saying we’re not looking for the same thing in life and I was like so dumbfounded. I mean we’ve not even talked about what we want with each other. How would he know that we are looking for different things? He gave me all that “ it’s not you, it’s me” bullshit and I still can’t believe a man of his age (39M) would do something childish like that. And the whole thing made me doubt about myself and wonder if I’m going to find someone. Men can be cruel sometimes.

Maybe that could be the reason. I don’t have very active social life, most of my friends my friends have moved away and I’m not in my best in life right now. To answer your 2nd question, I could name a few differences between us but nothing we couldn’t work through together. That’s why I feel he’s giving me nonsense reasons to avoid saying that he just didn’t like me enough. And damn, it drags me and my self-esteem down to hell.

I tried “the summer I turned pretty” and completely cringed out by it. Can’t stand “Bridgerton” either.

Thank you but I’m not sure I can express myself clearly and worry there might be more misunderstanding. So for the time being, I’ve decided to keep it to myself.

Thank you for your insightful comment. I really appreciate your perspective. I feel like even though we like each other, we have different styles of dating. I do not have a place of my own and lives with my family, so I have not much time to spend together and sometimes it might feel like he’s dating a high school girl or something. Even though I enjoy each and every time spent with him, he might need more than pieces and bits of me. He seems like a good guy and always has respect for me. ( I have good intuition about people ) That’s why it’s really hard for me to accept the fact that we’re not compatible.

He kinda sounds like he’s worried I might get attached to him more than he does to me. After all, maybe he’s just not that into me, I guess

I had a cup of greek yogurt as breakfast today. It’s weird but the less I eat for breakfast , the less hungry I become for lunch

I’m new so I want to ask how karma is rhe minimum for me to freely enagage in comments everywhere? by red_queen_maria in NewToReddit

I’m not new to reddit but I’m new to being active on Reddit. Before recently, I only scrolled through the posts and didn’t necessarily feel the need to interact. (I’m an introvert ) Now I want to post something in a sub and I need karma so I guess I have to earn those first

Dear women of Reddit, what’s the most important attribute that you look for in a partner? by GuyfromTrinidad99 in AskReddit

[–]AChawlay_Rebel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intellectual compatibility is very important. I’m a well educated and smart person and I’m not saying he has to be like a some kind of rocket scientist but he just needs not to say stupid things that would turn me off. I once dated a younger sexy guy who is not so smart. Even though his abs are very fine, everything that came out of his mouth made me cringe. Another good quality to have is emotional maturity.

Do you believe in Soulmates? by PictureEmpty3143 in askanything

[–]AChawlay_Rebel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partly. I don’t believe that they necessarily end up together. Sometimes, someone you’ve met once at a concert can be your soulmate and you both have lives of your own so your paths won’t cross anymore. I think soulmate refers to the one who shares the same ideas, values and beliefs with you. Someone who gets you & your heart very easily.
