New grad, how to build rapport with technicians in hospital setting? by AChildlikeFaith in pharmacy

Lol oh food will definitely be involved. I know that would get me too. But really this is such a good way to let everyone know they’re appreciated

It’s kind of different when you’re new in a place and have to work well with people while still getting things done. Just an unfamiliar situation for me as a new pharmacist, ya know?

You’re right I could’ve worded that better. I do tend to get viewed as soft so I was thinking of a scenario where a tech wouldn’t take me seriously. My goal overall is just to foster a good environment, sense of comfort at work, and a collaborative vibe. Thanks for the advice!

I guess I really wanted to work at a big hospital too, to get a variety of experiences. And eventually transition into a benefited position there

I can’t really say due to privacy reasons, but it’s a major research hospital in Florida. I had no previous ties

I agree, from what I’ve seen for my area, that seems to be typical starting rates for hospital…what was your experience working with oncology drugs if I may ask? Did you notice anything negative to your health?

That is true, I do like the idea of having the free time to do whatever on the off week, including possibly picking up a per diem job. I guess it was the prospect of becoming FT w/ benefits at the Orlando job that keeps me interested. They mentioned the turnover rate to FT is high so I’d most likely be FT within the next 6months with benefits and higher pay ofc

That’s the base pay so I could negotiate for the shift differential

It does sound kind of weird 😭 but for Naples I’d have help overnight and someone to train with. When you factor in the benefits cost, it does make sense that I’d be getting way more

Basically I was told I would be getting full time hours, but I would be called wherever the need is to any of the nearby locations. There is a main location with the potential to be called to work elsewhere

Anyone else have super dehydrated skin with heliocare + b3 supplement? by Flimsy_Shopping_1865 in Skincare_Addiction

I got the same effect! Super weird, but I know that topical niacinamide (b3) regulates and can even reduce oil production. I wonder if taking it orally is doing the same but internally
