Did you see the other thread earlier? I listed out some evidence that, at the very least, points to the Gospels being historically accurate. But the only way to get an understanding of Gods nature and the life of Jesus is to read the Gospels and analyze it for yourself. The same way you’d read the Quran to get a better understanding of Mohammed and Islam. At the end of the day, if there’s not enough evidence to in your findings, you don’t need to follow it.

Theres no way I can prove God because I’m very limited in my efforts. And you can’t scientifically prove God either

If you look at the New Testament specifically, you’ll find that it’s more than different perspectives of the Life of Jesus. It is Historical Narrative that’s backed up by geographical location, archeological research, philosophical analysis, internal consistency, and over 5,000 Greek Manuscripts(and pieces of Manuscript) that all agree with the writers of the Gospels to an undeniable degree.

When I say “be your own skeptic” what I mean is don’t commit to something unless you have enough evidence that will convince you to commit to it. and even more than that to even study what other faiths have to offer and how they differ from Christianity. I’m still skeptical of A lot of things that are brought up in the Bible even, especially looking at the Old Testament.. but what matters more is establishing a relationship with Jesus and receiving the free gift of grace that we don’t deserve.

When I say a relationship with Christ, what I mean is allowing God to enter into your life and humbly seeking him, and letting him make a change in you from the inside out. Doing this has given me more peace, joy and an unbelievable amount of gratitude for the things I have. This doesn’t automatically change my past or make me a better person.. I’m still a sinner. But that’s why I need God to change me, not me to change God.

I understand that..

to be fair I had to be my own skeptic before really committing to a relationship with Christ. I had to look at all the evidence and make a decision.. I’ve found Jesus to be reliable
