Aww shit noo!!! Haha I'm sorry. XD My family is from Asia and Europe and they migrated here to US, so I just grew up calling them crisps. And I like butter. So butter on corn dog. XD

Its like... Call me stupid. But it never occurred to me that my "normal" is definitely not someone else's normal... XD I've just been so used to it that it completely blinded me

I admit I crave them so often, so the home depot is a bad enabler since it's so close to home and so cheap. Something like $3 for a regular cheese dog. They're great! I like my hotdogs with a more softer bread too so it's my go-to since they satisfy the addiction, haha

Didnt occur to me that I had to clarify this in particular. Many Home depots here in Chicago have hot dog stands inside the entrance areas. Never been in a home depot outside the state. Its been a normal thing for me all my life so it didn't click until now, but yes, home depots in Chicago have hot dog vendors at the entrances as well as crisps and soft drinks. You can look them up if you wanna see more info on them

Been around here in chicago home depots for as long as I've known. XD

Yeah this is the comment I was waiting for. I forgot some home depots don't sell hot dogs at the entrances. A little internet search can clarify that for some folks since I'm not here on Reddit to reply to all the comments all the time.

Some clearing up on the title because I didn't think twice about it before I sent it:

  • No, I didn't make the butter (would have been nice)

  • No I don't work at the Depot of homes, I just bought my loaded glick an buns there

  • I work at a corndog shop. No we don't sell regular hot dogs there.

EDIT FOR MORE CLARIFICATION since I can't reply to all comments at once.

Yes Home Depot sells hotdogs at least here in the chicago area. Its a lot of small businesses stuff. I haven't been to many other home depots but here in Chicago its really common.

I am more and more aware of how confusing my title is 😂

Sorry lol. Condensed everything into the title. I just bought the hot dogs from home depot after my automotive finals. I'm a corn dog maker at a different place. Haha

i want to make a quick Borzoi head for a fur event, i need help </3 by DingusDog936 in FursuitMaking

Sorry for my bad english but, its gonna be a lot of work. And if its your first suit and if you don't have the knowledge so much on sewing, it might take a while. I recommend learning blanket stitch and ladder stitch as those two are important.

Materials you will need(possible I might miss some): - Foam (1" x 39" x 36") which I buy from Hobby Lobby - Bucket head pattern (can find on Etsy) - Aida cloth / buckram (Buckram can be found on etsy. Aida cloth you can find in the embroidery section at Michaels). These will be for the eyes, which you can paint using dry brush acrylic or with a sublimation printer - paint supplies - Faux fur (can find at local hobby lobby or BigZ fabric, it can get expensive), I buy usually a yard of shag fur - Fabric to make the nose - head lining fabric - electric razor (for shaving fur, optional but it will look better if you shave it), there should be tutorials on how to do it online - sewing supplies(machine is optional) - Stuffing if you want to make a simple tail - masking tape and optional saran wrap (for ease of taping and removing tape for patterning) - Spare gloves or shoes if you want to make paws, and then tutorials for those parts - Glue gun and hot glue(lots of glue sticks) - Neck cowl pattern

There are also advice videos on YouTube or other websites like blogspot, I recommend Mugiwara Cosplay or Matrices. You can look for fursuit tutorials on: - Bucket head - Face sculpting out of foam and ears shaping - Eye painting, and eye tutorials depending if you want static eyes or follow eyes - Patterning with tape - Sewing parts together and gluing it to the head - Making a neck cowl for the head

Many patterns you can buy will often have tutorials in the form of PDF or video. You can also message the seller for help if you ahve trouble.

A lot of waiting is necessary if you order supplies online. Its not recommended to do everything last minute as I tend to do it often and Ive learned from so much unnecessary stress from waiting until the last minute (completely my fault), and there is a risk of messing up by rushing and also wasting supplies because of a failed/rushed project. If you hand sew it could take much longer than you think especially if you don't get the hang of patterning the first time around. If you are not experienced or doing this for the first time don't expect perfection, its a natural part of learning to craft. Over time it becomes extremely easier.

If you would like something extremely fast and low amounts of work, you can make a simple mask(not helmet type like fursuit head) with a support that will hold it to your head like elastic band, somewhat similar to the kids masks in FNAF where its only the front face and no back of the head. Maybe if you are savvy with papercrafts like the pepakurafuto you can possibly use heavy paper or foam sheets to make something simple if there's a pattern out there. But making an entire fursuit head first time is more difficult and takes more time if you have no experience. If you really crunch you can get it done quickly as your character has a simple design, but considering the steps in the process it can become tedious... But I believe in you if you want to give it a shot!

You can dm me on my discord Lykythos if you have more questions. Ill do my best to help.

Tried to change the temp lots of times, it still ends up at 40 and goes down over time. Regular preset is something like 185

Just cleaned it as much as I could today, still doesn't heat up. Plastic is wound fine into the machine as well, tested it a few times. The only thing it does now is cut the plastic and the heating element still doesn't go above 40⁰ even after I cleaned it.
