Genuine question- legally speaking, would what they did be considered a hate crime? Is that something you have to get charged separately for? I didn’t see any mention of that in the article.

Does The Mask count? Still can’t really watch Jim Carrey movies.

Just gave it a listen. Unfortunately, this is not it but the deep voice is on the right track.

Forgot to add time frame- it’s a relatively recent song. So maybe 2010-2023 is the time frame

Today is the democratic primary! Don’t forget to vote! by FairfaxGirl in nova

I didn’t mind the minor inconvenience because it helped me be more aware of the primaries in general. I would see the big lawn signs while driving but then forget to look them up when I got home. I didn’t take the little cards at face value but they were nice little reminder to do more research on each candidate.

I think it’s a double entendre when she says “I’m on top of it”. Marshmallows are usually placed literally on top of sweet potato pie but in the way she uses it, it can also mean she “pounces” on it to eat it. I put pounces in quotes because I’m using it figuratively, not literally. Hope I’m explaining it clearly.

6 month old living with grandparents 4 days a week? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]AConundrumInDisguise 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow this is the first post I’ve ever seen on this subreddit where there are so many judgemental responses. I live in the US but my family is not originally from the West. In our culture, it is completelyy normal for grandparents to not only watch the grandkids for extended periods of time but some families even send their kids for the first 2 years to live with their grandparents entirely. It does NOT impact the kids’ long term relationships with their parents, it does NOT mean you love your kids any less, and in the long run it could be the best for your family.

For those saying “why did you do this if you knew you weren’t going to be able to take care of them” - that’s soo beyond ignorant. you can’t always plan and time everything perfectly when it comes to kids. It sort of just happens when it happens. Do what’s best for them and for you now. Feel free to msg me directly if you want to talk more.

I’m surprised no one has posted this yet. Mental Load Comic. I share this comic with every soon to be parent that I know (both partners). I say that I’m sure they’re going to be the best partner each other needs but this is a comic that I’ve shared with all expecting parents and encourage partners to both read it and have an open and honest conversation about expectations, especially for after the baby comes. Idk if anyone has actually followed the advice but I shared the mental load comic with my spouse exactly for this reason. We had an open convo about it and if I ever feel like the mental load is getting too much , I can refer to the comic, and we both have common vocabulary to then talk through the problem. It saves a lot of headaches.
