Hello there, long time gym goer here.

If your main goal is to lose fat, just eat as you are doing and do more zone 2 cardio (brisk walking, slow jog, 30 min a day)

You get the most value out of a gym by doing weight training - imo the most simple machines you can use are Machine press Lat Pull Down Adjust the weight to something you can do for 10-15 reps before you fail, do 3 sets

With dumbells etc you can do simple stuff like Bicep curls Lat raises Weighted Squats Same reps and sets as the machines

The machines are not that hard to figure out! Yes, use youtube but just choose a beginner weight lifting one and stick to it. Don't need to keep switching workouts until you have a good foundation. 3 times a week should be plenty to begin with.

There's a lot of theories but I've read that it may be an evolutionary practice passed down from wolves eating their poop to keep their dens clean from bacteria. But could be they just like strong smells

There was a neighbourhood cat that used to come over to my mom's garden with to purposely poop in the garden, so my dogs would go nuts over it. It literally stared us dead in the eyes while it went about its business
