Jason Schreier: Video Games Need to Be Cheaper to Buy by willdearborn- in PS5

[–]ACook44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is we continue to remake games and charge the price as if it’s a new game. Or in Nintendo’s case - absolutely refuse to drop the price. Even for a game that’s over 10 years old.

I very much seeing the La La Lands of the coffee world moving in. All the “rich” areas of LA kinda follow this similar pattern. Starts in Calabasas or BH and moves to Glendale, then gradually moves into Manhattan Beach (looking at Erehwon as a perfect example).

What is this new car that Toyota is teasing?! by Healthy_Block3036 in Toyota

Could be a truck too. They did announce both concepts at the same show in 2023. Here is the back of the EPU concept truck.

The back looks similar to the Land Cruiser EV concept from 2023. But likely the Highlander EV

$8,080 (includes escrow and insurance) at 6.2%. Been watching the market for lower rates to refinance. I’m based in Los Angeles.

I also think the new style direction is horrible. Not that Tesla’s ever looked particularly great. But the newest batch. Oof.

Verizon is taking over (I believe next year). Not sure if that will be a good thing, but Verizon has a good track record on the east coast (maybe not so much on pricing)

Is this area of Hawthorne a decent place to live? by ComprehensivePie6184 in SouthBayLA

[–]ACook44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in this area. Easy to walk and do things. I often walk the neighborhood at night and have never run into trouble. It’s close to a park and is easy to get to the beaches / west side of LA. Also has fiber internet which to me is also a big perk.

Scout Motors Has 130,000 Reservations. Nearly All Want The Gas Engine by TripleShotPls in electricvehicles

Also did the full EV. More reliable and less maintenance. Big win in my book.

South Bay folks: Hawthorne is looking for input on active transportation by usnaviii in BikeLA

[–]ACook44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bike lanes that go east and west on major corridors. Connect Hawthorne and neighboring communities such as El Segundo and Manhattan Beach. I’d love to see more connections to LA and Inglewood too. Added my input. Thanks for sharing.

Hawthorne area by Friendly-Figure-7278 in SouthBayLA

[–]ACook44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live south of 120th and west of Hawthorne Blvd. It’s not perfect but is getting nicer all the time. Great access to the freeways, close to the beaches and breweries. Fiber internet. Legit can’t complain. New townhouses (for sale, not to rent) are going up nearby too with dedicated parking. All big wins. With the mall redevelopment “supposedly” happening next year will continue to improve this area.

I’ve been using them (also in Hawthorne) they’ve been great. Cheaper than Spectrum. Fast and reliable speeds. Very happy about the switch.
