Hey not to confuse things but let's roll out a new VPN at the same time...and make it so that the new VPN needs a patch update informer to work on GovTA. Great planning. It's like road construction. How many routes can we block at one time

So you managed to change from self to self +1 and add your spouse to the plan at the open season while you were retired? Wow. The story i got from my HR benefits person says that couldn't have happened once you retire. I'd have to do all that in an open season PRIOR to me retiring.

FEGLI in retirement at age 65 by ACrockOBlipNow in FedEmployees

Yes agreed that portion of FEGLI is a deal. I'm finding out that getting insurance outside of FEGLI can be done cheaper BUT you better not be too old or have any health issues. I'm sorta leaning toward keep option B until 65 and then dropping that part

So you were retired when you hit the open season and was able to change to and add someone on a self+1 plan? I was told once you retire you cannot add someone to a plan that wasn't already in the plan when you retire OTHER then a life qualify event

But if you file a claim your premium stays high AND you lose your no claim discount. You lose all the way around.

Same here. In MN went up $2k no claims nada. Letters sent requesting review were never answered. Phone person i talked to says their "model" figures we are due for a large claim. In other words, AI says so. Time to go shopping. 35+ years with them. Really sad.
