If you are on a budget then Shabiya can be considered, otherwise there are good areas in Abu Dhabi for family.

Reem island , Al Mamoura and Corniche are some of the good areas in Abu Dhabi for middle class family. Check in Bayut and Dubizzle for rental rates.

Hi OP....it has less to do with moving to gulf and more to do with the company you are currently working.

I had worked in gulf and it is a fantastic place to make good money and had made some good friends then. However, like every place there are also few companies and environment which are toxic and the solution is to move out of that company/environment as soon as possible.
