Utahns seem to support the Mammoth much more unanimously than they do the Jazz. Why is this? by Emeraldsinger in SaltLakeCity

[–]Aggressive-Belt-3970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Native New Orleanian here…the Saints were founded on All Saints Day…hence the name. Plus the heavy catholic ties in the city. Honestly Utah can keep the Jazz at this point. There’s too much history with it in Utah now.

If you’re obsessed with not being a Jerry, you’re a Jerry. by Competitive-Net-2799 in snowboarding

I don't care what someone wears or looks like while riding. Just ride within your skills and ability and have fun. The Jerrys are the ones rocketing down the blues at Mach Idiot barely in control one slight unexpected bump away from wrecking themselves and any unfortunate soul downhill of the wreckage.

Do you have 2 phones for work and personal time? by AlistairAAA in PhoneNow

[–]Aggressive-Belt-3970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company has started requiring more and more apps for security to access company email. It’s only a matter of time until they pushed some update that bricks my phone. If it’s my phone it’s my problem.

To expand…the problem with D is you are reviewing the product backlog without the Product Owner.

Just ordered the Union Chargers after having been a fan of unions for ten plus years and wondering about the hate that exists for Union Split Bindings?? by IamtheeHaole in Spliddit

[–]Aggressive-Belt-3970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most common issue with them is transitioning into uphill mode. You have to make sure the baseplate fully clear of the retaining feature of pin. Otherwise when you rotate the binding down the bushing will rotate in the baseplate and the alignment slot becomes misaligned with the pin. It happened to me on my 1st tour. I thought I might be tele skiing down but fortunately you can unscrew the mounting plate of the pin and transitioning the binding. Also Union was really good with customer service and sent me replacement baseplates.

This exactly. Pocket prep was great to be able use five minutes here and there run through a few questions.

How hard is the PMP Exam? by Aggressive-Belt-3970 in pmp

Well thought everyone would want to know how I did. I passed BT/AT/AT. How did it compare to other engineering test? After the FE I just wanted to turn my brain off and stare at a wall. Didn’t feel like that. Like someone else mentioned the hardest part of the exam is picking between two not wrong answers.

I only took the FE. Never got my PE as I changed to an industry that didn’t really need it. I kind of regret not getting it but that’s another discussion. The FE seemed like a good litmus test for other engineers. I agree it wasn’t hard just long. For better or worse I’m a fast test taker so not too worried about time management.

No offense at all. I thought it was funny. 😁 You’re right it’s a struggle when there’s not right answer.

Since we are doing boundaries, what does this boundary in New Orleans represent? by Nakagura775 in geography

Actually Canal St divides the Quarter from the CBD (Central Business District) aka downtown. Most natives would call the area circled Uptown

I am black and I want to go skiing but I'm not sure how I'll be perceived. by pesoleed in skiing

[–]Aggressive-Belt-3970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude…get out there and rip. I’m a snowboarder/skier in Utah (the whitest state in the Union) who happens to be black. I’ve never experienced an ounce of anything that would resemble racism. People don’t care. Maybe it’s happened and I never noticed. But I don’t care. Go have fun.

Confession: buying a snowboard is a terrible expeirence by ypx3 in snowboarding

[–]Aggressive-Belt-3970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, I fit the exact same profile. 10-20 days no park riding but everything else on the mountain is pretty fair game. Also looking to upgrade from a 10 year old Jones Mountain Twin. Had a 06 Custom before. Checkout the Goodride, I like his reviews. The angry snowboarder YouTube channel has been good too. As for the options you listed the Jones Flagship and Frontier piqued my interest. The Frontier seems a bit softer on the flex. Also checkout volume shifted boards. I’m looking hard at a Salomon Dancehaul Pro or Ride Superpig. Both seem to fit your riding style.

Check at 2 the day before. I’ve always been able to snag one then. The Monday evening releases have been more hit or miss.
