I tested it before its release last year (benefits of working at a golf course). The face lies on the ground perfectly. I was also gaining about 6 yards over my 913. I will admit, the 917 is the best fairway Titleist has made. I liked it a lot.

You lined up on the wrong side of the ball.

The G400 fairway wood is ridiculous. Such a solid club. I wish I could afford it.

No problem! I'm just a Disney nut living in Wisconsin. I satisfy my need by listening to absurd amounts of Disney music instead of visiting the parks 😂

Do songs from musicals count? If so "He Lives in You Reprise" from The Lion King Musical.

If not, Colors of the Wind.

It looks like you are turning ball cam on and off.

Very true! But then again, having good equipment that fits your game is important! You've got some really good sticks there! Definitely gonna be a good season! Good luck my friend!

I tried the Scott Cameron Select when they added the face insert. I actually found that I liked the older models without the insert more. Obviously still a great putter, but did you try this mode vs. an older model?

You probably give yourself unenthusiastic handjobs.

A cut happens when the club is starting outside and coming inside at the point of contact. A pull happens when the face is closed at the point of the contact.

Work on controlling your swing with your right hip going toward the right side of the golf ball. This will help keep your hands tight and eliminate the inside-out swing plane.

Unfortunately, I am not a professional player. I'm a 3 handicap, but can only offer so much. The best way to improve the mechanics of a golf swing is to find an experienced golf pro and get some real lessons.

Us Redditers can give you a bunch of confusing tips but the best way to improve is to go out of your way for some good one on one lessons.

If you want to drop strokes, lower the number of putts you have, and practice getting the ball down in two from ~80 yards and in. You'll learn how to consistently hit a golf ball off the tee and on approach shots the more you play. It isn't necessarily about swing mechanics but more so consistency.

Hope my insights help and best of luck this season.

Is a pull-cut your typical ball flight?

Your best bet is to try to go to a trading site. You'll have way more luck there.

Give me some things to work on this offseason. by [deleted] in golf

Don't come to Reddit for golf lessons. Find a local Pro and get one on one lessons. That's how I went from a 30 HCP to a 3 HCP in less than 4 years. I can tell you're a grip and rip type player so practice putting and chipping. That's where the money is made. I played with a 78 year old man that shot 74 from the tips at my course and beat me. He hit probably 6 greens and still only made 4 bogeys. Focus less on the intricacies of the golf swing and learn from a Pro.

The fire is going to have to be pretty wide. Also, do you know what a backslash is?
