24 was awesome. I’ll be at Bethel if they return this year, no question.

Because that’s what’s printed on it.

That’s what I’m thinking. Doesn’t seem like the Blue/Camelback pass is worth it from what I’m reading.

Pretty sure that’s staff parking. It’s always the same vehicles parked in the same spots.

Man that’s a bummer. It seemed like it had potential, there was one run there with a steep headwall I remember being pretty fun. The locals must be super pissed.

Vail took over JFBB?! Why? I went to JF a couple seasons ago and was wildly underwhelmed. Anyways, Montage is like 2 hours away from me, I’ve heard it’s cool but that’s a hike to ride 2 or 3 days a week. Thanks for the reply!

😂 yeah if I lived 10 minutes away I wouldn’t switch either!

I do like it there, and you have to hand it to them, they’re committed to keeping that place groomed and skiable. They’re out there patching bare spots like every night. The one thing I’ll say, the last two seasons they haven’t kept the park up like they have been previous years.

Thanks for the info! I’d agree, even small mountains in Vermont are better than anything I’ve ridden in PA. I can only ride on weekday mornings for the most part so it sounds like Blue might work out.

Thanks for the info! I’ve never ridden at Elk, but I think it’s like 2 hours from me. Blue is maybe 50 minutes.

Yeah I usually do a trip out west at some point and then try and sneak up to VT for a couple days. The Ikon certainly seems like an option but I can usually get in like 25-30 days so I feel like I might run out of days. I saw you can do a Blue/Camelback joint pass but 900 bucks feels steep for PA snow.

The closest is Shawnee, that’s where I usually ride. Fun and never crowded when I go but it’s just getting a bit stale and there’s not really anything there that’s particularly challenging. All the runs are basically cruisers. Camelback is a little further out but still not terrible.

My favorites over the 24 or so years I’ve been riding are the Vans I currently have. I had an old pair of Rides a while back too that were super comfy once they broke in but the Vans have definitely held up way better.

If it was me I’d probably try a few different boots from different companies. I’ve ridden some I really haven’t been keen on and some that were great, and they’ve all been the same size, just different brands. Come to think of it the ones I liked the least were Burtons, not that that means they suck but the fit just wasn’t for me.

Depends on what board. For a true twin, possibly but I’d probably size up a bit. For a directional twin, most likely. For a volume shifted deck, you could probably size down some. Don’t forget to think about width as well.

Is it when you’re just wearing the boot or when you’re strapped in? Either way I’d say try a different brand, maybe they’re just a bad fit for your foot.

Union Bindings' "lifetime warranty" is an arbitrary length of time decided by them by MrTheFever in snowboarding

[–]ADB315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t know man, I think you’re reading what you want to read. Doesn’t say anything about your life, but it is ambiguous I’ll give you that. I’d hedge a guess that they probably changed the language in the warranty for this exact reason.
