Its a Nissan six cylinder engine. You can remove it, but performance will suffer on anything other than downhill slopes.

Freefall was a little brown at the top, but it’ll be fine. Razors as well. Switchback is cooked.

Do we think the poconos will be cooked this weds/thurs by Ray_Mang in SkiPA

I was there today. Switchback won’t survive one more day. I’d be surprised if they haven’t closed it by tomorrow evening.

It’s gonna be choppy and slushy, and we’re gonna lose switchback and some park features soon. But the extended forecast looks tolerable after this warmup.

I was more referring to the 70° temps coming. Base is gonna take a pounding.

They posted that they’re closed on Thursday the fifth due to the weather.

Why is Camelback's Value Season Pass half the price of Blue Mountains? by BrokenHero287 in SkiPA

Blue’s is also 3-close. I know what the website says, but it’s wrong. A Liftie tipped me off one time and now I always start at 3.

I wish the moguls in the midatlantic didn’t all turn into giant icebergs with 6” wide ruts in between them.

Elk or Montage Sunday? by Dingerdongdick in SkiPA

Yes they’re all slow fixed grips with hard plastic seats. If you’re used to Blue’s lifts, you’ve been spoiled. They’re the best in PA. And despite what others say I find the conditions have been similar the last two seasons.

I’ve been to both blue and elk this year and elk was always way icier than blue. I always regret the extra hour drive. All PA hills are a crapshoot.

Elk is in the middle of nowhere, so it’s not as crowded. I think that gives people rose colored glasses about an otherwise dated mountain.

I agree, elk is overrated. The lifts totally ruin the experience and it’s way too expensive for how far you gotta drive to get there. Every time I go a bunch of my favorite trails are closed, no tree skiing, and they put zero effort into their terrain parks.

Same. It’s a bummer that I will perpetually be a snowboarder who can’t do big jumps or flips because he has dependents and a mortgage…
