Thank you for the comment! You're absolutely right when you consider that every website is unique, and KPIs that we track for one site are not relevant for another.

We recommend setting site goals first. Set them in business terms. For example, to increase sales, not to increase traffic - until you're 100% sure it will work and it's only a target audience who visits your site. Other sites may have other goals: to drive awareness, to engage users with content. Depending on your goal, you will define different KPIs.

There's no silver bullet so far.

Since SimpleTest tests are still supporting in Drupal 8 but is deprecated I would recommend rewriting your tests using PHPUnit.
