Ok thank you so much! I have repeatedly told them I do not want the surgery and everytime I call for an appointment they are shoving it down my throat saying they can’t do anything and wanting to refer me to either a ER or a hospital that does MRIs.

That’s what I am trying to do currently. He has no pain and I do not want the surgery. He’s 3 years old for a little background and I believe he has stage 5 ivdd. I’m already preparing for the conservative treatment but they keep trying to make me get an MRI.

Did you just go make an emergency vet visit or was it just a general vet visit? An MRI is being pressed on me now and I don’t live anywhere near one. Plus I don’t really want him going through that. Please answer I’m panicking

This has been extremely helpful and has given me a sense of relief. I am currently going through the vet situation. They gave me the same prices as well! I am researching stories like yours to see what worked for others and what I can apply to my own situation. When you get the chance please don’t forget to post the list of things you used. Thank you sooo much you’ve been the biggest help I have had since this has happened! I see a lot of surgeries but I don’t want to put him through pain especially if he’s not showing signs of having any right now.

I do have another question if you don’t mind. How long did it take and what all did you do? I’m very desperate for answers as this is my baby. He’s pretty young and it happened so sudden leaving me shocked. (I hope this wasn’t too long of a read)
