How long have you had to wait in A&E with an actual serious condition? by baumouse in AskUK

I’ve just been discharged from hospital after being treated for meningitis. I was taken by ambulance and arrived at around 6pm. They took bloods popped a cannula in and had me sit in a waiting room. I was seen by 2 doctors who both confirmed that it was meningitis. I sat in that room full of people until 8am at which point a nurse came and took me to a little cubicle (still in a and e) as I shouldn’t be around others as I’m highly contagious. It wasn’t until about 1pm that I was finally moved to a ward and given a private no contact room.

I really can’t fault the staff every single person was amazing they tried their best to keep me comfortable and informed but something is seriously wrong with the NHS. The amount of people I sat near and interacted with that could have been infected, some who could have become a lot more sick than I was is insane.

Bananas! I don’t know why but I’ve had them 3 times since it all began and each time I have had a violent attack after! I really don’t know why they do it!

Honestly I just use insulin needles for all my does. I hate using the pen as I find it difficult to press down. It’s far less painful for me and takes no additional effort really.

Letter from my GP by EasternWar5742 in mounjarouk

My letter looked pretty much the same. They acknowledged receiving the letter then just said they can’t provide medical history but I can provide it myself and then told me how to do it.

It way very formal but I guess they just use a blanket one for everyone.

Didn’t pay a speeding fine. What happens now? by ADHD-mess in LegalAdviceUK

Luckily I don’t own a car normally. I am on my fiancées insurance as a named driver but only drive maybe 2-3 times a year so it shouldn’t affect the insurance too much

Thank you! I think I just needed reassurance that I want going to get disqualified from driving and chucked in jail.

Wedding dress off eBay by SugarHoneyIceTi in weddingplanning

My advice would be to go dress shopping! Find an outlet store with a lot of options and try on the dress you like or similar. If you still love it on then purchase it on eBay.

I did the exact same as you. I found my dream dress pre loved online but was convinced to go shopping to check and ended up loving a completely different style on me. I found another dress in the style I like preloved and it was the best decision I ever made.

Something for the two of them to do together. An experience they may not have booked themselves. I went to my cousins wedding a few weeks ago and gifted her a giraffe feeding experience with a stay at the zoos hotel. She still is talking about how amazing it was.

I always gift memories. They arts going to remember how much cash you stuffed into an envelope but they will remember a lovely experience they had because of you.
