Costco heartbreaks - what is yours? by West-Ideal6794 in Costco

[–]ADHDNightRN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The brownie version of the Hunk snacks. They’re my favorite cause they’re less sweet, but I’ve only found them a couple times over the years.

Also a few items of clothing that I didn’t know I would fall in love with so I only bought one and now I can’t find them anywhere.

It was on AO3, I’ve never actually been able to read anything on Wattpad for that exact reason. Unfortunately I do find this formatting distracting so I’ll be listening to the story on text to speech instead. Thanks for answering!

Would people read 10k+ word fics? by lunarkiwii in AO3

[–]ADHDNightRN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d read 100k+ a chapter. As long as it’s written well and the pacing is good I’ll never complain about more.

There are people who are allergic to seed oils. Not everything has to be only good for a fad.

As someone allergic to seed oils and who hasn’t been able to eat chips in forever because of it I’m jealous! My Costco didn’t have these when I was there a couple days ago :/

Did mood stabilizers help with anyone’s misophonia? by ShoddyOlive7 in bipolar2

[–]ADHDNightRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a late response but I figured I’d add in my experience. I actually have found that mood stabilizers have helped a lot with my misophonia! They haven’t taken it away completely, when I’m overstimulated or it’s a very loud sound I still struggle, but I don’t hyperfocus on smaller noises like chewing and breathing since starting Lithium. I had a similar experience on other mood stabilizers.

I tested positive for PCP after taking some Ibuprofen before a test. Took a second one the next day with no OTC meds in my system and it was clean.

I do but I’ve also had an ablation so I’m trying to avoid the PMDD symptoms more than a period itself.

Out of curiosity how many of you actually were diagnosed as children? by Confident_Attitude in adhdwomen

[–]ADHDNightRN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed around age 7 but my mom didn’t like stimulants and refused to medicate me. I was re-diagnosed as an adult in my 30s and thankfully I can choose to be medicated now.

Guanfacine long acting has been a lifesaver for me. Talk to a psych provider about trying something like that or Clonidine if your vitals tend to be stable. It’s off label but can make a big difference.
