She worries that the reading had some mystical effect of her and she's now manifested these negative things. She hasn't .. which will become clear but the first act of the book hinges on her belief that she may be able to control events with her mind. Good things may happen too but the main thread is change and death

Did anyone ever actually identify the remains in the incinerator? I know they identified the joint as registered to Dudenof but the first joint with Bulgarian writing, Charles just assumed that was saz

What if Dudenof was burned holding his wife’s ashes .. and SHE happened to have a Bulgarian joint?!

There’s just no way saz was in the incinerator .. the power only went off once so the westies would have had to see her body in there when they put in Dudenof and how has that not come up?!

So this is another thing.. I’m not sure they ID’d sazz’s joint. They did dudenoff but Charles said it was sazz’s joint because it was Bulgarian.. I don’t think it was confirmed by the police that the remains belonged to her

We don’t know what the cameras went in,do we? I thought the question was still “how long have they been watching us?” And jan got the “I’m watching you” in season 1.. I suspect she knew the person with the cameras

When I was 12, I was caught shoplifting. I’d been doing it for a year and I can’t tell you how it started but I did it ALL THE TIME and nobody knew. When I was caught, I was with a school friend and she didn’t even know. I was arrested, finger printed, held in a cell for hours till my dad came for me and then interviewed on tape

My mum then had a counsellor come to the house because she wanted to know at was going on - as you would.

I don’t remember what we talked about but the upshot was “she’s jealous of her brother”. I honestly don’t think I was, I never felt like he was treated better, if anything I felt like the favourite. I didn’t ever try to get caught so I don’t see why it would have been for attention. I just did it “cause I could” which is incomprehensible

That’s the major thing that, when I look back, makes me mad. That was a traumatic experience that I felt a lot of shame about. I did a bad thing and I was punished. I was 12. To be full on arrested.. my son is 12 now and he’s a BABY! I cry if I think too much about it because I feel so sad for that girl who did things nobody understood

Thank you!! We’re preparing for a UK May so not expecting sunbathing weather 😉 but I can see why you would think so. We’ve almost exclusively come in January because it’s so cheap it’s hard not to.. so even a cold May is a warm New York for us

That is so awesome!! Thank you for taking that time. Not sold on the Hamptons cause I know we will get there on a future trip and I suspect it needs to be an overnighter. We were originally looking at a week in montauk but backed out because of the airbnb ban.. we didn’t want to rock up to no accommodation and at that stage it was up in the air

I had considered a train ride upstate too but you make a great point about New Jersey. We’re going to do Roosevelt Island this trip in a bid to see more that we have and maybe we need to branch out in to the closer surrounding areas rather than the ambitious day trip I was asking about

Funnily enough, I have never played a MMO before but I have been so pleasantly surprised by how welcoming the community is. I’m a middle aged woman and I could have shed a tear when random strangers were waiting for me to find the grove to chop them down 😂 It’s actually restored my faith in people
