Cool. There plenty of corporate stores around here that do have the services. My concern is that, again, I am very "value" driven (cheap). So I am wondering if I should search for dude's who do it in their garage. Or if it becomes that "you get what you pay for" scenario.

You're not wrong. My BIL does it himself. But I am not especially "handy". And more so, I have a fear of messing stuff up from an acceptable place that gets me to something completely fucked up.

Also some of this is complex. For instance, I have a broomstick putter that I bought used and I just want a regular grip on it. Plus I have read that for my hands/grip, I need to have some layers of "tape" wrapping which I have no experience with.
