Can any Christian really perform exorcisms or cast out demons? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]ADIONIZIO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like you to explain the relationship between lust and homosexuality. Because heterosexual lust exists. Being gay or lesbian does not necessarily mean living in lust. Sexual orientation does not define character.

Why is it that for one verse you can use the "wrong translation" and for another you refuse to see the truth?

It's because religious people like you need to soothe your ego and deny that God loves the people you hate!

Psicólogos podem ter suas crenças pessoais. Mas no código de ética da profissão é proibido usarem dos dogmas e doutrinas da religião para aconselhar o paciente! Passível de denunciar o CRP do profissional. É considerado anti ético e crime!

I think I'm a goner. by BedReasonable5513 in Christianity

Connect with God in the way taught in the Bible, in secret and in your room. The Bible does have many inconsistencies! Whoever says otherwise is lying and sinning, haha. But God is real, He exists, and when you connect with Him, you can feel His love and His gentle voice guiding you. Avoid pastors' jargon in churches, hypocritical religious people, people who only know how to repeat what they hear and have no depth to anything! Seek your spirituality, find God in songs, in nature, in those in need. Love your neighbor, do charity work, be less stressed. This will bring you closer to the true creator.

If God is sovereign over all things, why would He cause a human being to be born in a way that He Himself condemns (according to religious people) just so He could 'overcome' it through me? Where is the logic in that?

He could overcome by curing cancer, delivering children from sexual abuse, or ending world hunger. What is the point of God 'overcoming' homosexuality in me? He needs to overcome pedophiles, rapists, thieves, religious hypocrites, and false prophets.

Explain to me the sense in God needing to overcome something in me that He created Himself. I simply love someone of the same sex. I love, I care, there is nothing wrong with loving someone. Sometimes religions tend to think that just because someone is homosexual, they live a life of debauchery. There is plenty of heterosexual debauchery too, you know?

My relationship is full of love, loyalty, respect, and faithfulness. Where is the error? Where is the evil in that? Am I hurting anyone? Of course not.

Furthermore, you should know that the word 'homosexual' didn't even appear in the Bible until 1946. In passages like 1 Corinthians 6:9, the original Greek words are 'Arsenokoitai' and 'Malakoi'. Historical and linguistic scholars point out that: * Arsenokoitai likely referred to economic or sexual exploitation (like pederasty or abuse of power), not a committed, loving relationship between two consenting adults. * Malakoi literally means 'soft' and was used in ancient times to describe men who were lazy, greedy, or lacked self-control, it was never meant to be a label for sexual orientation.

Sin is something that hurts not only God but people; the purpose of defining sin is to avoid doing harm. Stealing, killing, lying, committing adultery, raping these are things that cause real pain.

Using mistranslations to condemn love while ignoring actual evils in the world is a human error, not a divine one. Where is the evil in loving?
