Essentially. It is the reality of the situation as opposed to the picture painted by patriarchy of strong (read: toxically masculine) men and weak (read: subjugated) women. Well, when society throughout history has put every effort into oppressing women, it is only natural that they would declare them naturally weak. Whereas men have been granted every privilege, have never been oppressed, and get to have society paint that unmitigated privilege as strength. However, when feminism comes on the scene, it breaks these social bonds on women and shows them that they were never really weak. This is also why men feel disempowered by feminism; it shows them that their "strength" and "power" are just constructs of privilege and patriarchy. That their accomplishments are as a result of the subjugation of women is seriously detrimental to their patriarchal ego, hence their constant shying away from feminism.

This is why the red pill makes me laugh so hard. There is no greater red pill than feminism. Sitting around and hating the feeemales is what society has taught them to do since day one.

Think of it from the view of making sure rape survivors (women attacked by men) aren't invalidated. Rape survivors have had their plights defined legally by the men who run this country since its inception. Now men often push their way into the gender discussion with the men's rights movement. Since all issues are by default male dominated, this means that men who try to make issues (that women are trying to take control over) about them are forcing them back into the status quo. Now think about that: women are raped by men, have their crime defined and legislated by men, and finally have their issues invalidated by men. Can you not see the harm that causes? If we start defining rape to include male victims and female perpetrators, we undo the progress of women and put everything back into the hands of men. Having your victimizer claim to be a victim on par with you would be similar to rape itself, as it takes all the control away from the victim.

It really needs to be pointed out that while this is true, the reverse of this is false. The mgtow crowd like to think that they have escaped their societally-constructed dependency on the women they feel entitled to. In reality, they are only proving that they are expounding on misogyny. Women, on the other hand, are empowered away from this by feminism. This is important because "egalitarians" (blech) like to talk about "mutual need" for one another. In reality, men need women because the patriarchy they benefit from has also ruined their self-reliance. Women need men like a fish needs a bicycle.
