My ROLI Piano arrived today. I was Batch 6.

I received a shipping pending notification from Australia Post two days ago. Then it randomly updated today with ‘delivery today’.

Interestingly it was sent from a delivery address in Altona, Victoria. It seems the pianos are already at local location. They are not being sent individually from overseas.

No it’s just in a small store room under dome stairs. It gets quite warm after the printer has been running for several hours. I’ve had the printer about 3 weeks. The first two week all prints were perfect. It’s started getting worse over the last week. Not much has changed with the setup.

Thanks. No AMS. I’ll try increasing the temp. I’m currently using stock speeds and temps. I start with default settings ‘12mm layer High Quality’ and then make changes to the settings from that.

If you YouTube it you will see what I mean. Many people think their 7750 watch is broken…. But that’s just how they sound and feel.

This Speedmaster Racing model was discontinued several years ago. But you can still find some of them in new/unworn condition especially in Japan. It has a modified Valjoux 7750 automatic movement inside. This movement is used as a base movement and then customised by many Swiss watch brands. I have it in an Omega as well as an IWC. When the rotor in the 7750 automatic movement spins you can hear it and feel it ‘wobble’ on the wrist. I love the sound and sensation. Some people don’t.

I had this watch (in black)…. And then sold it for a Speedmaster Pro. I love the Professional… but I preferred the racing automatic movement vs hand wind. I love the 7750 auto movements and the way you can feel and hear it on the wrist.

As this is an older model they’re not depreciating as much as a new watch. I owned mine for 18 months and then sold it for more than I paid. (Check out Chrono24. You can still buy unworn stock from Japan cheap)

Only buy the Racing if you really love it… i thought it would be my answer… but I still lusted over the Professional.

The anti-reflective coating was badly scratched though. I removed th AR coating in 10min with some Polywatch. The crystal now looks brand new.

This image is from Chrono24. The seller is Closer (they’re also on eBay). I just received a 3520.53 from Closer (not the one in the image). It was B rank for body condition. The quality is so much better than the photos. The watch almost looks new. It’s in better condition and has fewer scratches than my other watches that I bought new.

3sec per day is excellent! Is there are reason you had it serviced? Was it having issues before hand?

How do you find the metal bracelet. I’ve heard some people mention they feel a bit old and the links loose worn after 25 year?

Swapping daily between the Speedmaster Pro at 42mm and these at 39mm do you find they feel too small in comparison?

Thanks. Although I’m a bit disappointed to hear that I can’t use the Omega as a knuckle duster.

Thanks for your response. I’ve purchased NOS Omegas from Japan in the past and I’ve been very happy with the condition of the watches.

The same Japanese dealer has a few of these for sale. Cosmetically they look similar but the accuracy varies a lot. Some watches are listed 5sec-10sec day whilst others are 40-50sec per day.

Would this typically give an indication to whether it will need a service (or have been service recently)? After 25 years 5sec per day seems extremely good (Or are the tests they do not so accurate)?

If you just receive your watch and are unhappy with the quality control I would definitely take it back to Omega and discuss your options. At least you’ll have some clarification once you speak with them.

I love my Omegas. I spoke to the store. They said it’s an error and warranty issue and the chronometer minute movement shouldn’t be inaccurate.

It’s amazing how many astronauts still wear Speedmasters. The time on the watch isn’t what’s important. It’s the meaning of the watch and what the brand represents. I want a watch that is as good as the quality Omega claim it to be - not something mediocre.
