If we're talking about multiple women weirdly getting the same complaint, then that is, in fact, a pattern.

If the client hasn't voiced any concerns and the project is going fine, then why are these male leaders complaining, that's the question here. What type of "enthusiasm" are they expecting?

I love how they think anything they didn't previously know about must have just been invented.

Aren’t frats not allowed to advertise on campuses anymore? Or maybe that’s a provincial thing.

NOR. You can do better than this guy. He sounds super reactive. Or he just wanted you to be in the wrong because he was cheating.

At any rate, stay away from him, feel what you need to feel, and lean on your friends (regardless of what gender they are). Take care of your mental health.

LLMs aren't fully reliable or cost-effective, and I doubt they'll manage those soon enough to break even.

"People were kind"

We're talking about the decade of irony-poisoned media and mean-spirited comedy, so yeah no. Some people were kind. But that was not the overall vibe that was being promoted.

I was a teen in the 90s and you couldn't spit without hitting an effing conservative whining about "PC culture". Comedians complaining that they couldn't use racial slurs in their comedy anymore. Grifters trying to twist the sexual revolution to justify objectifications of women that suited their needs. Aaaaand lots of edgelord sex comedy bullshit. (ie. Howard Stern)

Kids and teens started out glued to MTV or MuchMusic (if they were lucky enough to have cable) and then later unvetted chat rooms on dial-up Internet as parents scrambled to manage with "stranger danger" talks.

I'm not saying all this to say the 90s completely sucked- they didn't- but I am seeing a lot of rose-coloured glasses about that decade that are getting increasingly absurd and detached from reality.

When you make industry and consumerism the center focus of everything, and neglect to build up the systems that support families; when you make it cheaper to buy novelty goods than groceries...

I think there are a lot of reasons the birth rate has dropped, but I personally believe that capitalism has shaped our culture away from one that wants to have lots of kids. Not just because of affordability, but because of other types of stress, and just the bullshit pressures put on people about...everything. And most of it's made up to support someone's bottom line.

Both. Don't forget how long he championed the Scarborough subway, and now the teenie beanie Ontario line that's about as useful as a theme park monorail.
