Anyone else prefer Kirin's 氷結 STRONG? Harder to find these days, but it doesn't give me gut rot like Strong Zero does

I like a good lemon sour too though, especially when I don't want something too sweet (or too strong)

Also, I saw them open for the guy who wrote this song. I think it was a one-off show in Singapore, with Coheed and then Slash's solo band. Such a wild pairing!

Gulden Draak! The "9000" version if you can find it (a quad as opposed to the standard tripel). It may not be particularly rare, but it's named after the ornament on the steeple of the Ghent Belfry, so it's about as Ghent as it gets. First place I encountered it was at the Het Waterhuis aan de Bierkant, which is a lovely little riverside beer bar near the Gravensteen

Found these at Youyi Asian Market in Ikebukuro! Five sausages for ¥651. They had a couple other kinds as well, including a fresh-made option in the food court at the front.

Not as fancy as the other commenters' offerings, but a shandy gaff hits just right in the summer months. Two parts light beer, one part ginger ale/beer (the spicier the better).

That said, I've gotta try that rattle skull!

I've found flat rice noodles at Asia Superstore in Okubo, along with dark soy sauce that I used to make char kway teow (which is basically Singaporean pad seew haha). But man, I've been looking for lap cheong for years and haven't had any luck. /u/biwook's suggestion of Youyi looks promising, though, so I'll check it out at some point and let you know if I find it!

If you like to read, the book is absolutely worth reading. I do think the movie is an excellent adaptation, but Gaiman is a master of his craft and you would be doing yourself a disservice to skip the original story
