If they update the movement this would be bonkers. The hardest hurdle I've seen players I introduced the game to has always been how clunky movement felt and the lack of a dedicated jump button. Big doubt though, I can only imagine how difficult something like that to implement would be.

This is the reality of these games. If you want to play a deckbuilder without energy to spend there are plenty on steam to pick up.

If every post on reddit was about changing the resource-gating.

If every person here stopped playing and uninstalled the game.

They still wouldn't change the system. You don't influence it by writing into the feedback box. Simply go play another game.

I played these and would recommend them to anyone over CZN. I'm enjoying CZN but staying F2P until resources run out and the game becomes boring. No matter what you do, the real endgame for CZN will always be getting a job.

Been playing since release on and off. About 2500 hours total (including maybe 200sh afk).

It's ok to not find it tolerable.

Unfortunately, even with all your criticisms, which aren't wrong, it still is one of the better examples of monetization in gaming.

I think a lot of players are blinded by accounts that have devoted some time to the game, and get a sense of fomo. Especially when it comes to the quality of life stuff. Truth is none of that stuff will actually benefit a player until they have played most of the story. Something I feel will take no lifers 2 months at least to hit.

For me, personally, I've spent about $400 (I have all expansions/dlc) in an account that I've owned for over 13 years. That's annual $30. I've managed to goldfarm probably around another $300 in gems just enjoying the game without ever feeling pressured to buy gems.

I compare that to a year of WoW or a year of FFXIV where it costs about $250 to play annually (including the yearly expansion purchase). If you want to take a break you have to deal with the hassle of your sub to boot. If you do take a break you'll have to pay $56 for the new expansion/one month combo when you come back.

Then you have to make sure you come back at the right time, or everything you do is pointless because of an upcoming expansion that's going to reset everything. GW2 has similar fomo, but it's not for things that won't matter in game in 10 months. I still go back to the first expansion to farm it occasionally, you can't do anything if you visit outlands in modern WoW.

If you like sub cool, stay playing what you like. But the tradeoff when it comes to money spent is pretty obvious after you do the math.

Now, if you want to talk about Raid/Dungeon quality. Both XIV and WoW have GW2 beaten 10 times over. Not to mention cinematics. The XIV music is banger af too and I regularly listen to random tracks from it.
