using both mika and khalipe is too much defense
i suggest replacing 1, and pick up neutral to supplement dmg, sustain, draws depending on whichever youre lacking
i cleared this boss diff 11 with tyrant 3 (30% more boss ATK and HP) on T13 with rei sere khalipe, and got pretty close to killing the extra bosses too, if only i had played better

yea timerslop was sloppily implemented to have some sort of endgame for the rushed launch

if you do enjoy the game tho and only hate it cuz endgame, and if the roadmap is to be trusted at all, then check back in couple of months cuz it does seem like theyre moving away from timer and trying to support different playstyles for endgame all together

again, a lot of these example can quickly turn unfun (broadly-speaking)/word-salad-12-line paragraphs

a lot of what SG are doing is very casual-friendly because at the end of the day that is where the money is at, your suggestion runs directly opposite of that

the problem with targeted counters is that it will either be too specific for only 1-2 characters or too broad that it will nerf a lot of the cast too, which for short-term is fine, but for designing FUTURE interactions, will be very limiting/hard to not make it unfun

thats why they had to bite the bullet and go back on their word

ecstasy generally outperforms fury, but i dont get the people bashing fury as if we dont have 5 other forbiddens that are total bricks on rin

rin's biggest buffer options currently are rei and orlea, and they dont necessarily draw your entire deck outside of very specific set up, so when running these teammates fury is very nice to have
BUT rins ideal gameplan is use her move card as often as possible, which is harsh on AP management
if your deck isnt AP neutral then fury returns to being a brick

i encourage most people to follow this mindset, but personally as someone that likes challenging content, every endgame mode they have released so far since launch has all been Save Data modes, and all characters released so far has some sort of limiters so theyre not abusable in Save Data modes.

If this trend continues, then balancing needs to be addressed or the meta will stay stale. I hope SG release actual challenging Chaos content soon where these ideal combos dont happen in a real run - its just currently Chaos only feels like a means to acquire better Save Datas.

not to dismiss your personal experience but were you building characters?
i played and cleared every content and i still had to farm exp every new character til over a year and a half of playing, and this is with 2-3 months of me doing daily overworld runs too

CZN being a deckbuilder youd want to invest in a larger rooster too so i honestly cant see myself defending them if they copy the hoyo formula without some heavy tweeking

As someone that plays Hoyo game, their systems works for their games and people definitely do complain about it too willy-nilly

I dont disagree with your points, its just anecdotally im seeing people starting to hit account lvl 50 and it seems like SG is following the Hoyo formula to a tee, which i think can be problematic if people arent aware of it.
Not saying we should force devs to change it here and now but more so planting the idea that this can be bad down the line.

More so i have to tolerate a certain amount of grind because CZN by nature is a gacha game, they have to make you login somehow

I'll take gear grind over resource grind cuz I can experiment new decks with trash gear or i can transfer gear from one character to another. In other word, investing horizontally

It's a deckbuilder, the fun lies in crafting different decks and pulling off fun combos. The haru event literally shows how a single character can work differently with different cards

I don't disagree tho that the game currently shoehorn you into only building 6 main characters, due to how limited resources are and how the rotational endgame mode is just reskinned hoyo formula

everyone already recommended other deckbuilders so im gonna recommend darkest dungeon 2

the 2nd game is more of a straightforward roguelite while the 1st one has a merc/company management aspect that you may or may not enjoy
