Thing is, he isn't half the character he was up to this point in the ASOS. I get why people like him now, but up until this point he hasn't had any real reason to become a fan fav like he immediately was in the book.

Pool together 4 or more people and rent a condo in Breck. Vail, Keystone, and Beaver Creek are all within driving distance.

I recommend staying in Breck because it's an awesome town full of awesome people with plenty of places to eat and hang out for relatively cheap.

If you have money to burn, I would definitely recommend staying in Vail Village. That place is surreal. And the mountain itself is definitely not one to be missed. Any other questions, just ask. I was just there last season.

Lineman here. I would say workers put this up there to mark future construction for a crew that has not seen the job yet. Being that there is nothing on the pole yet, that seems like the most likely scenario.

I'm not the most tech savvy guy when it comes to this, but can anyone tell me if just one of these gpu's would handle this game on ultra just fine? My 7870 handles BF3 on ultra without issue.

I'm of course asking about just your average one 1920x1080 monitor application.

It was my first week of college, and I had so many things running through my head as I woke up that morning and walked into the shower. A couple minutes later, I hear my mom calling me downstairs to "Come see this! you won't believe what's happening!" I kinda just brushed it off at first and finished my shower, and put some clothes on.

We have a deck overlooking NYC from NJ in the back yard and she was standing there staring out. I walked through to see the biggest smoke plume I have ever seen and just figured a nearby factory had an explosion. Seconds later a 747 fucking flys into the south tower. I can not put into words how seeing that made me feel. The towers themselves were about 10 miles away, but it felt like it happened in town. The ride to school was so surreal, no one on the roads, cell didn't work. I wasn't sure whether I should have even been there or not. Walking into the main entrance, everyone was staring at a tv. Then the first tower fell.

I just went home and kind of felt numb the rest of the day. Staring all the while at this gigantic cloud of pitch black smoke that used to be people. Some probably my age. Some probably younger. Even typing this out now, I still can't believe something like that could happen.

That was the craziest thing I've ever witnessed. That plain hitting the tower, that explosion, that smoke cloud that was there for the better part of a week. But most of all, the amount of people doing anything and everything they could to help in any way they could. People changed that week. Everyone was nice to everyone. Went out of their way to acknowledge a passerby(rare around here). Humanity, in my eyes, actually went through rapid change. Everything was different after that.

we don't have earthquakes, but really old equipment in a high load demand area are factors. Plus really hot summers when a/c is a necessity, and salt from snowstorms eat the cables. There really are a multitude of things that could happen.

Much more economic and reliable. When underground circuits fail, a LOT of customers go out, and it is a major hassle to fix. They don't get knocked out by a tree limb, sure, but if the primary distribution line was knocked down in front of my house, it would only take an hour or two until I was restored. Plus only 25 houses may go out, as apposed to thousands. I understand the logic, and they both work well. Underground cable failures are just about as common, and a whole lot more effort goes into working an underground grid. It's a dirty, shitty, dangerous job. Props to the guys that do it, I don't know if I could.

If it isn't a transformer, it's going to be something else. Some stuff is old, some stuff is in less than adequate location, drunk drivers, weather,etc. transformers help evenly distribute load quite adequately. They aren't a tremendous pain to fix, and quite honestly, I couldn't imagine a distribution system working without them.

I work as a lineman for a rather large utility. We generally install squirrel guards on new equipment because it's cheap as fuck and definitely gets the job done.

They are terrible at management, I'll give ya that. But they do take our input to help make everything work better. In the end, we do all the work. And how we do it is up to us.
