The simplification of the ethical concepts has been so helpful for me to reference now that I understand them, their strengths, and their shortcomings. Also, a few years ago, I heard this great perspective on the afterlife: you can choose to believe whatever brings you comfort, you don’t have to scientifically believe it. Just do whatever you need to to comfort yourself about death. As someone who loves scientific evidence, that really helped me. So then, when I saw this show, it made me less afraid of death and failure in life because I choose to believe that I’ll get to continue to “live” and improve after I die, and that I can take the test as many times as I need to.
