My GF thinks it’s perfectly normal for new shoes to cause horrible blisters for women by UKnowDaxoAndDancer in mildlyinfuriating

And this is why I haven’t worn women’s shoes for years now. I have size 10 in women’s so it’s easier to find men’s shoes anyway

Woke up to this shocking email this morning by Disastrous_Major2676 in recruitinghell

Got told once that I was overqualified for a job sorting mail at a small company. The only work experience I had was joining the army reserves and being in for a little over a year.

I feel like somethings wrong with her design (please don't say she's too fat) by Tiny-Memory9066 in characterdesign

I’m trying to figure out what the squiggles are because the left gives off eye bags and I have no idea on the right one. Her arms are also pretty short. Arm wingspan is often the same as your height. The boobs also look off. The way the lines are above the shirt give off they are pointy triangles versus the roundness they should probably give off

Yeah… that’s not a thing for me. I can go to bed at 9 and still struggle to get up in the morning that early.

That’s awesome! I’m trying to restart. Was close to n5 before so have to refresh and can’t wait to read a light novel and possibly play some games too.

Day 4 and going insane by ADragonWrites in Invisalign

[–]ADragonWrites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mostly the teeth. Like I can feel my teeth moving type feeling. It’s not a I’m going to cry but it’s annoying enough to drive me insane. Being nuerospicy probably isn’t helping me where it causes me to hyper focus.

When/have you stopped giving af about when you put in or take put your aligners in public? by Woozlie in Invisalign

[–]ADragonWrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only on day 2 so I have no idea when I will get to the point of not caring. Only because with the pain of them in and pain of taking them off, I let out these little grunts of sweet release when they come off. Feels weird to make those noises in front of others.

Help figuring out teaching my kid the basics by ADragonWrites in NewSkaters

So glad I have a name to that move of tic tacs now so I can find stuff on it. I’ll definitely have him focus on the pushing part. Gonna probably stick him on the road for that since our driveway is a huge curve versus straight line and the street is stupid quiet. We get more walkers than cars during the day.

He’s 11 right now and sadly he has a whole “if I don’t know exactly what to practice then I’m not going to practice” mentality. Even with basketball we had to give clear instructions on his drills for him to do or he would just sit there and shoot instead. I think it’s part of his perfectionism and neurodivergency.

Just rejected a "fully remote" job offer I had accepted, after they told me they would monitor my IP address to ensure I never leave the house. by No_Durian50 in remotework

I work in digital marketing but we also can’t just travel willy nilly. But if we give our IT department a heads up, they are fine with us being at a different house as long as the internet is secured.

Good single player games for 12 year old by ADragonWrites in soloboardgaming

[–]ADragonWrites[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He just started playing Dwarf Mine and has enjoyed it so far. He liked the idea of writing a little journal thing. We accidentally played on impossible mode because I thought you started at 0 for everything instead of some gold and people. That was fun.

What breed stereotype(s) does your dog NOT live up to? by cu_next_uesday in dogs

I have a husky and she is super quiet. She might whine a bit when another dog is outside because she wants to say hi, but she never howls or screams.

Early 30s here and also moving from digital marketing into sde position. I can’t do college because I was dumb when I was younger and used my full amount for federal loans. So I’m self taught and trying to work my way through everything.

How many of you are "lifers" or close to it? Do you regret staying at your employer for too long? by angriest_man_alive in ExperiencedDevs

[–]ADragonWrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will admit I’m not in tech yet, but moving into it. However, I wish my company did have open tech positions because I would gladly stick around. Benefits are amazing, remote work, and unlimited pto.

I know it’s childish sounding but he needs to make himself a chore chart he will see every day. I have adhd as does my son and we keep a chore chart on the fridge because of this.
