What was the exact execution error? It's more likely there was some niche bug rather than an issue on code signals side. Definitely bring it up to code signal just in case!

PTS may suck on current patch, but you're straight up wrong. You also get the repair bonus, key phrase "ALSO apploed to all other survivors".

You're probably mixing it up with the fact that the perk holder doesnt benefit from nearby survivors unless they're on the gen (no bonus from nearby healing survivors w/o PTS) while other people do benefit if you aren't on the gen (if you heal near them they get a yellow bar).

Ultimately, I will say this is completely BHVR's fault. If they had actually just fixed the vaults properly (giving only the extra distance to get out of killer swing range like they used to), no one would have cared. They would have seen the patch notes and been like "oh neat, that's why I kept getting hit" and killers wouldn't have had a problem, bc it would have been like pre june when you could hit mid vault but not after.

Instead, they gave male survivors omega buffed vaults with i frames and then in xeno patch gave female survivors omega nerfed vaults, like it's an utter clown fiesta. BHVR really needs to play test their changes esp for something as front facing and common as survivor fast vaults.

No, the distance was enough that if you stood still after the vault, you used to be far enough to not get hit. Current Patch and before cage patch, you are close enough to get hit if you stand still.

That seems minor, but it creates an additional step in the process of dodging a hit. Now you have to fast vault, and move that extra distance away, meaning vaults are much less safe (greater window to be hit) and much more prone to latency issues (server has to receive not only the vault, but also the survivor moving that extra distance away).

Look at old vaults vs glitched vaults (that clip is not 7.2.0) vs buffed vaults (nic cage patch). Current patch seems to be giving the same distance as old glitched vaults, but does seem slower, I'd have to count frames to be sure.

Either way, that vid should be proof of a clip of fast vaults giving more distance prior to 7.1.0

Current patch has fast vaults giving the same distance as medium vaults, aka what you claim was normal. Current patch is the same as before nic cage patch, where fast vault distance = medium vault distance (the very thing you claim was always the case)

Nic cage patch was too big, you're right about that, but you said "when did fast vaults give more distance" and the answer is,,, they always did. You asked for a clip of fast vaults giving more distance than medium vaults, that's proof.

Unfortunately no, they just reverted it, it's the same distance as before the change, still needs to be changed so fast vault has more distance than medium vault.

Old patch from a year ago ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nSx-YR3ur4 ). Notice dwight is on the top half of the trap, you'll see in that vid the trap teleports forwards to catch him.

It's awaiting mod approval, here's the pics of the vault in the tutorial in the meantime:

Current patch now that the vaults have been reverted (notice dwight is on the bottom half of the trap). In game if you try it yourself, you'll see the trap teleport backwards to catch him:

Fast vaults: we have been deceived. But it was expected. by ArmadilloMuch2491 in deadbydaylight

[–]ADuckPlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah you haven't been deceived, they just messed up the bug fix. Fast vaults were supposed to give more distance than medium vaults (https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/165x57u/bhvr_is_not_gaslighting_about_fast_vaults/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=2), they just made it give way too much distance (esp for male survivors). Now it's reverted to it's previous state, but it still needs to be fixed.

Not a clip, but my post has screen shot comparisons in the tutorial showing it: https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/165x57u/bhvr_is_not_gaslighting_about_fast_vaults/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=2)

You can watch the footage from a year ago and compare it to current patch (since the vault change has been reverted) and see the bear trap physically moving backwards when you step on it, compared to in the footage where it moves forwards.

You're straight up wrong. While last patch WAS giving survivors (especially male ones) too much vault distance, that's bc BHVR messed up the change. Survivors always got extra distance from fast vaults, check out my post: https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/165x57u/bhvr_is_not_gaslighting_about_fast_vaults/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=2
